Daine from The Immortals
Veralidaine Sarrasri, known more commonly as Daine or the Wildmage, is the main character of Tamora Pierce’s fantasy series The Immortals. Daine has powerful wild magic and can both exert her will over animals and communicate with them. She has brown curly hair. For costume inspiration, look to some of the book covers of Pierce’s novels. Sandie from Last Night in Soho
Sandie is a character from the film Last Night in Soho, played by Anya Taylor-Joy. The story follows the protagonist Eloise, an aspiring fashion designer that begins university in London to study it, and learns that she is able to enter the 1960s. At night she transforms into an aspiring singer named Sandie from the 60s. As Sandie searches for her big break, she gets into trouble and Eloise follows that journey with her.
Sandie is first seen in a float bright bring dress with the perfect shape for the period. We later see outfits like her white coat, black dress, and red dress that Eloise is inspired by and begins incorporating it into her own style and projects. Tease your hair to create a classic bump on the top to complete the look.

Megurine Luka, also known by her codename of CV03, is a Japanese VOCALOID. Since 2004, VOCALOID has combined voice synthesizing and software programming to produce music, albums, and even concerts. Voicebanks get paired with anime style avatars, such as Megurine Luka. Her voice is provided by Yu Asakawa, a Japanese voice actress and singer. Merman “Kenmaid” Ken (2023)
Merman “Kenmaid” Ken is a character in the hit 2023 movie, Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig. He appears as the Ken counterpart to Mermaid Barbie. He is portrayed by former wrestling star John Cena, currently best known for his role as Peacemaker.
Sadao Maou from The Devil is a Part-Timer!
Sadao Maou (voiced by Ryota Osaka in Japanese and Josh Grelle in English) is the main protagonist of the anime and manga series The Devil is a Part-Timer! Satan Jacob is the Devil King before he is forced to retreat to Earth where he dons the more human appearance of Sadao Maou. Sadao works at MgRonald’s as a part-time employee. There are cosplay sets of Sadao’s work uniform which you can purchase and pair with shoes, a cape, shoulder armor, and a dark green wig to complete the look. If you’re particularly brave, you might also like to use a pair of red contact lenses to alter the color of your eyes. If you’d rather make your own costume, a red polo, red visor, and black pants will get the job done. You can use yellow fabric paint to add the signature MgRonald’s stripe across the front of the shirt.
Ferid Bathory from Owari no Seraph/Seraph of the End
Ferid (voiced in Japanese by Takahiro Sakurai and in English by Eric Vale) is one of the main vampire antagonists in the anime/manga Owari no Seraph/Seraph of the End.
He kicked off a good majority of the plot by murdering the rest of the children that Yu and Mika considered family, sending Yu on a revenge quest. He loves to annoy the people he spends time with, much to Krul‘s frustration.
Ferid has long lavender-grey hair that he wears tied back with a large black bow, red eyes, vampire fangs, and pointed ears. He wears a waist-length white shirt with diamond detailing and ruffled cuffs, that trails off into longer coattails, with a ribboned capelet over top and a cravat. The rest of his outfit is white pants, extremely tall thigh high black boots, and white gloves.
Willy Wonka from Wonka (2023)
Quiet up and listen down! There’s a new Willy Wonka in town, played by Timothee Chalamet in the new movie-musical Wonka. The original story is from the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. This new story follows a younger Wonka before he becomes who we know today from the two film adaptations where he is played by Gene Wilder and then Johnny Depp. In this new whimsical film we follow his journey into becoming a chocolatier.
Wonka’ s costume has elements that are reminiscent of both Roald Dahl’s original art and previous films. He still wears iconic pieces like the purple velvet coat, brown top hat, and walking stick. In this new costume we also see the designer playing with layering and unique patterns like the brown vest layered on top of a white pinstriped shirt, over that another blue and yellow vest, and then the coat. He also wears high waisted trousers and a patterned scarf tucked into the vest.
The Will of the Abyss (Alyss) from Pandora Hearts
The Will of the Abyss (voiced in Japanese by Ayako Kawasumi) is one of the key plot characters in the anime/manga Pandora Hearts.
She has control over the Abyss, and is in charge of all the Chains, which has lead to her powers being in high demand by the government organization, Pandora.
Much like Alice, she has very long hair with fluffed out side-pieces and thin braids, but hers is white instead, and her eyes are a pale lavender. She wears a short skirted, intricately detailed white dress with a big outer-belled half skirt, decorated with blue roses and black ribbons. She wears a matching black ribbon with the roses around her neck, and a thicker white ribbon tied around her leg.
Doctor Fate
Doctor Fate refers to a number of heroes who have done the gold help and cape of a DC Comics staple. No matter which Doctor Fate is your fave, a few things remain the same; the hero has supernatural powers and the costume also includes a blue bodysuit with yellow gold accessories. To create your Doctor Fate, start with a blue full-body suit. Then, you’ll need a golden cape, gold gloves, and gold boots of your choosing. Finish the book with a gold utility belt. Replica Doctor Fate masks can be a bit pricey, but you can get creative with yours by using a gold hood beneath a polarized face shield or a plastic full-face mask instead.
Marine Mauri from Les Sisters
Marine Mauri (voiced by Kelly Marot) is one half of the titular siblings in the French cartoon Les Sisters. Though Marine often needles her older sister Wendy, she also looks up to her, and the two share a lot of love for each other. Unlike her sister, Marine has honey blonde hair and wears mostly green. Her outfit includes a green long-sleeved shirt with a heart design, dark green pants, and light green sneakers. You can recreate her look by purchasing a similar shirt, even if it isn’t an exact match, or opt to use an iron-on decal to spruce up a plain green shirt instead.
