Sophie Foster from Keeper of the Lost Cities: Lodestar

Sophie Foster returns in Shannon Messenger’s fifth entry into the Keeper of the Lost Cities series.  In Lodestar, Sophie finds herself fighting against dark forces as she questions whether she can trust the people around her.  As always, Sophie is shown on the cover wearing dark tights and with a short Renaissance-inspired dress and cloak.  To recreate her look, you may have to be a little flexible, as finding an exact replica of her costume can be difficult.  Focus on similar silhouettes such as a pinafore dress that will mimic the fitted bodice of the one she’s depicted wearing, or a handkerchief hem if you’re more interested in replicating the movement of her skirt.

ophelia ramirez from juniper lee

Ophelia Ramírez from The Life and Times of Juniper Lee

Ophelia Ramírez (voiced by Candi Milo) is Juniper Lee’s best friend on the Cartoon Network show The Life and Times of Juniper Lee.  Ophelia is known for her slightly cynical outlook and her rather glum, deadpan personality.  You might have to get a little creative to recreate Ophelia’s unique pink and purple hairstyle, so don’t be afraid to take a pair of scissors and some gel to a wig to make it fit your needs.

Ezekiel from Total Drama Island

Ezekiel is a character in the first iteration of Cartoon Network’s Total Drama Island. He was a member of the Killer Bass. However his time on the island was cut short, as he was the first contestant to be eliminated. This is mainly due to his money-hungry and sexist mindset. He comes back to redeem himself in Total Drama World Tour, yet he’s voted off first again. Humiliated and angry, Ezekiel becomes a stowaway in the Total Drama Jumbo Jet. When he returns, his appearance resembles that of Gollum.

Shawn from Total Drama Island

He was a member of the Wâneyihtam Maskwak, which is Cree for “confused bear.” He made it to the top two as a finalist. Shawn has spent his entire life training for the zombie apocalypse. His fear of said apocalypse prompts his survivalist mindset, but it also makes him nervous around people.

DJ from Total Drama Island

DJ is a contestant in the first iteration of Cartoon Network’s Total Drama Island. He was a team member for the Killer Bass, Screaming Gaffers, and Team Victory. Known as “the Brickhouse with Heart,” he’s a sensitive soul. In spite of his strength, he’s quite easily frightened. His culinary creations have always been a hit, and his kindness makes him popular amongst the campers. He also adores his mother and baby animals.

Owen from Total Drama Island

Owen is a contestant in the first iteration of Cartoon Network’s Total Drama Island. He’s been a team member for the Screaming Gophers, Killer Grips, and Team Chris is Really Really Hot. He wins his original season, though the remainder of times are only cameos. Huggable and upbeat, Owen is an optimistic competitor who is generally well-liked among the other campers. He’s in a relationship with Izzy.

Harold from Total Drama Island

Zardy from Zardys Maze

Zardy from Zardy’s Maze

Zardy might be hard to avoid in his maze, but out there on Halloween night, nobody is going to want to run from this cosplay. Or if they do, at least they’ll be running for the right reasons.

Zardy is a little inhuman, but copying his look is possible. A black witch’s hat and a pumpkin mask start things off on the right track, though you can opt for face paint if the mask will be too warm. A shoulder cowl, a pair of scissors – to cut off the hood and create the V at the bottom – , some fabric glue, and orange fabric paint creates the iconic top detailing. It’s a bit of a DIY project but it layers easily over a versatile black long-sleeve pullover sweatshirt. Finish off with a pair of jeans, some shoe covers in the style of brown boots, and a farming hoe. If you don’t want to carry an actual farming tool around, you can use a costume scythe instead.
