Carbon Costume

Dee is the main character of Yakka Dee, an educational animated series that encourages pre-schoolers to talk and learn new words. Dee is an energetic chatterbox who zooms in on one simple word at a time and uses funny cartoons and real children to bring things to life. Iron the patch in the middle of the shirt. For the shorts, you can paint the pockets yellow or sew some on.

Murderbot (played by Alexander Skarsgard) is the titular security unit in Apple TV’s Murderbot.  It is also the narrator of The Murderbot Diaries book series, upon which the series is based.  Murderbot is assigned to protect the PreservationAux team including Pin-Lee and Dr. Gurathin.  In the series, Murderbot is shown as wearing white, black, and grey armor, with an asymmetrical helmet.  To create your costume, you can start with white and grey padded clothing for motorcycle riding.  Layer knee pads, chest armor, and forearm guards with gloves over that.  For the unique helmet, you can either purchase a black helmet and carefully add details with grey and white paint, or opt for a 3D printed mask instead.

Bill is a semi-minor character in the game Alice’s Warped Wonderland/Alice in Distortionworld, created by Nightmare Project/Studio.

He shows up about a third of the way through the game, and is this game’s iteration of Bill the Lizard. He’s surprisingly used in a lot of the promotional art and trailers for it, though not as frequently appearing as some of the others.

While we don’t see his eyes in his main sprite, there is a chibi version seen in the game extras where we can tell that they’re gold and slitted. His hair is green and hangs in his face, and his tongue is like a lizard’s. Bill wears a light blue button up shirt, black slacks, a brown belt with a gold buckle, and black loafers.

In True Romance, Drexl Spivey (Gary Oldman) is a pimp and drug dealer from Detroit. He takes in Alabama Whitman, a wayward girl from Florida, before her new husband Clarence Worley takes her away. Drexl is enraged and demands compensation. Barely recognizable in this role, Oldman’s character sports dreadlocks, gold teeth, and tribal jewelry.

Zsa-zsa Korda (played by Benicio del Toro) is the primary protagonist of Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme.  Zsa-zsa is a wealthy European businessman whose life is in danger while he pursues a new business venture.  Zsa-zsa is accompanied in his travels by his daughter Liesl, a nun who he has named his sole heir, and Bjorn Lund.  Zsa-zsa is in a plane crash–one of six in his lifetime–which leaves him with several injuries.  To create your costume, you’ll want to start by choosing one of his looks and then accessorizing as necessary.  You could choose to create his desert-inspired outfit with khaki pants and jacket, and a white scarf used as a sling for his injured left arm, or his grey pinstripe suit with grey tie, white pocket square, and an abundance of bandages and gauze.

James “Jim” Kuback (voiced by Brian Posehn) is one of the four roommates who star in the animated series Mission Hill.  Jim has been best friends with Andy French since high school and now lives with Andy, his younger brother Kevin, and Posey Tyler.  Jim makes good money working in advertising and is a whiz with all things electronic.  Jim has ginger hair and a matching beard.  He wears a magenta shirt and violet colored pants, with red sneakers.  You can use a fabric marker to add the “Mac” on his shirt.

Sister Liesl (played by Mia Threapleton) is one of the main characters in Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme.  One of Zsa-zsa Korda‘s ten children, Liesl is chosen as his sole heir and travels with her father while he survives several attempts on his life.  Liesl is a nun, and she wears a white uniform included a veil, long sleeved shirt, and a white dress.  White tights are also part of her uniform, though Liesl can be seen wearing tights in shades of green as well.  She wears black shoes, a silver cross necklace, and carries a rosary with green beads.

Kevin French (voiced by Scott Menville) is the youngest roommate in the animated series Mission Hill.  Kevin moves in with his big brother Andy and fellow roommates Jim Kuback and Posey Tyler.  Kevin is a nerdy teenager who hopes to attend Yale University and is dedicated to his studies as a result.  He moves in with his brother when their parents move away.  Kevin has blue hair and wears round framed glasses.  His clothing consists of a blue button down shirt, pale yellow pants, and yellow sneakers.

Squirrel Girl (voiced by Milana Vayntrub) is a duelist hero in the Marvel Rivals video game.  She has team up abilities that complement Spider-Man.  When first introduced in the game, Squirrel Girl appears much closer to her original design.  Her Sunshine Squirrel skin, however, gives Squirrel Girl a beach-friendly look that includes a green ruffle top, green shorts, white crochet coverup and purple flower accessories.  To create your costume, choose a ruffled bikini top to pair with green and white dolphin shorts and then add your earrings and crochet coverup.  You can wear a purple lei around your waist (don’t be afraid to tie it if it’s too loose), and add smaller versions to your wrists and ankles.  Finish your look with squirrel ears, a tail, a plastic visor, and sandals.

Lochlan Ratliff is a character from the series The White Lotus and is played by Sam Nivola. Lochlan is a new character in the 3rd season which takes place at a Thailand resort. He’s visiting with his siblings Piper and Saxon, along with their parents Victoria and Timothy.

To dress like Lochlan, wear a printed or solid button down and striped swim shorts or denim shorts. A funny prop you could carry around is a glass that looks like his “Pina Colada” from the show. You could do this by painting the inside of an empty glass with a cream or light yellow matte paint or carry your own drink in it.
