In Shrek 2, the usually unattractive ogre Shrek finds himself temporarily transformed into a handsome human.  In his new form, he must thwart Fairy Godmother‘s plan to have Fiona fall in love with Prince Charming.  Because his body changes size when he transforms, Shrek must steal new clothes when he becomes a human.  His new look includes dark green leggings, a tunic, and a red and green vest.  You may not be able to find an exact match for his vest, so choose one with a similar color palette or a silhouette.  Finish your look with a great head of brown hair, and brown shoes.

Sandra from Big Fish

Sandra is a character from the 2003 Tim Burton film Big Fish, and is played by Alison Lohman. The film Big Fish is based off of the original book by Daniel Wallace. It follows Edward Bloom who has grown old and fallen ill. His son travels to visit him and hears magical stories about his life, and finds the truth behind them. In this, he also tells the story of how he met Sandra, his love interest in the story and how he won her over.

Sandra wears lots of airy and southern style dresses and skirts, that are in bright and pastel colors. The iconic ruched light blue dress is probably the most recognizable of her costumes in the film that stands out beautifully against the field of yellow daffodils that Edward created for her. All of the lace detailing over layers of tulle adds to the southern look, as this takes place in Alabama. Add a bouquet of yellow daffodils to tie together the costume.

sylvester the cat from looney tunes

Sylvester the Cat from Looney Tunes

Sylvester J. Pussycat, Sr. (originally voiced by Mel Blanc) is one of the Looney Tunes.  A black and white cat, Sylvester has a lisp and uses the catchphrase, “Sufferin’ succotash,” often during his skirmishes with Tweety Bird.  To recreate Sylvester’s look, you have a few choices.  Replica costumes do exist which include a full-head mask designed to closely resemble the cartoon character.  Pair this with white animal paw gloves and slippers to complete the look.  Alternately, if full-face masks aren’t your thing, you could use a black and white onesie with the same gloves and slippers, and simply add a black and white cat tail and ears to your costume.  As long as you take the time to memorize Sylvester’s signature phrase, there will be no doubt which cat you’re trying to emulate.

Little Edie from Grey Gardens

Little Edie is best known from the 1975 documentary Grey Gardens. The documentary captures the odd everyday life of Little Edie and her mother Edith, former wealthy socialites who live in their decaying Long Island estate together, where they never leave the house. We see their hilarious and very eccentric personalities as they reminisce on their younger years with the occasional singing and dancing.

Little Edie throughout the documentary changes into many different outfits and is essentially playing dress up for the camera. She shows off and tells the crew how she puts her outfits together like her signature scarf she wears around her head with a large gold pin, which she sometimes creates with different pieces of clothing, like a sweater. She used to be a dancer and has a dance leotard in the iconic dancing scene with the American flag.
