Félix Madrigal from Encanto

In Encanto, Félix (voiced by Mauro Castillo) is the fun-loving husband of Pepa Madrigal, which makes him the tío or uncle to Mirabel. Although he doesn’t have any magical gifts, Félix has a special ability to keep his wife’s emotions in check, which in turn keeps the weather of Colombia in check. You can use red satin ribbon to embellish down the shirt.

Bex from Assassination Nation

Bex Warren (played by Hari Nef) is one of the main characters in the satire film Assassination Nation.  Bex is best friends with Lily, Em, and Sarah.  As a transgender teen, Bex faces discrimination from some of her fellow students, which turns deadly after a hacker leaks important secrets about the residents of her hometown Salem.  One of Bex’s best looks from the film is the one she wears after the town descends into violence, which includes a red leather jacket that matches her friends’.  She also dons cropped black jeans and a multicolor striped crop top.  Finding an exact match for the top might not be possible, so don’t be afraid to focus on either similar colors or vertical stripes if you can’t get both in the same piece.  Similarly, a plain red trench coat can be substituted for an exact match, which might be kinder to your costume budget.

Susie Myerson The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Character Image

Susie from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

In Amazon Prime’s comedy-drama The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Alex Borstein portrays Susie Myerson, the grouchy yet lovable talent manager for Midge Maisel. Midge and Susie are opposites in every way. Midge is naïve and bold, while Susie is cynical and practical; Midge owns over a hundred frocks of different shapes and colors, while Susie puts on the same black leather jacket every day. This stark contrast makes the pair perfect for cosplay. Susie keeps it simple, tough, and masculine, always topping her look off with a signature newsboy cap. When cosplaying Susie, throw in the plunger prop for a clever reference to her charade in the Catskills in Season 2.

mysterion from south park

Mysterion from South Park

Mysterion (voiced by Matt Stone) is the secret vigilante identity of Kenny McCormick on the adult cartoon series South Park.  Recreating Mysterion’s look might take a little preparation and effort, but it will make for a kickass costume once complete.  First, you’ll need to find a question mark headband.  It’s difficult to find one in green, so get the lightest shade possible and paint over it instead.  Use the same paint to adorn the front of your light purple jumpsuit with a capital ‘M.’  Cut a hole large enough to fit the question mark through the top of your hood (since these headbands are sold in a two-pack, you can paint one and use the other to measure the hole).  Then, once the headband is dry, put on your black eye mask first, then the question mark headband, and carefully slip the hood over top.  After that, all that’s left is to layer the white briefs and belt over your jumpsuit, pull on your boots and gloves, and dash off to keep the citizens of South Park safe!

Suguru Geto from Jujutsu Kaisen

Suguru Geto from Jujutsu Kaisen

Suguru Geto (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai and Lex Lang) is one of the primary antagonists of the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen.  Suguru was once a student at Jujutsu Tech alongside Shoko Ieiri and his former partner Satoru Gojo.  Suguru became known as one of the worst curse users after he used his powers to massacre non-sorcerers.  Suguru wears dark blue robes and has long black hair that is partly tied back.  You can find high-quality versions of his uniform for cosplay, though if you are flexible with the appearance and want to save money, you can always mix and match different pieces to recreate the look instead.

Midge From Marvelous Mrs Maisel

Midge from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

In Amazon Prime’s comedy-drama The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Miriam (Midge) is a Jewish-American housewife living in 1950’s New York City. With her impeccable wardrobe, elegant home, rigorous beauty regimen, and a family of her own, she appears to have everything figured out. But when life takes an unexpected turn for the worst, she discovers a hidden talent for stand-up comedy and hits the road to stardom with her amateur talent manager Susie Myerson. Midge flaunts countless iconic looks throughout the series, but nothing says Mrs. Maisel more than the all-pink ensemble from the show’s first episode. This costume will have you screaming “We got the Rabbi!” outside your local deli.

kirkfogg-legendofthehiddentemple-character

Kirk Fogg

Actor Kirk Fogg is the host of the 90s Nickelodeon game show, Legends of the Hidden Temple. During the first season, he announced each event, asked tiebreaker questions, and handed out the Pendants of Life. He also playfully interacts with Olmec. The image on the right features Kirk from the recent movie adaptation. Two minor alterations to the updated outfit are a gray t-shirt instead of white, and a red patch on his button down. It also seems the branded pouch was swapped for a regular brown pouch.
