Women

Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Detective Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) is a main character of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. In the precinct, she’s considered the tough as nails badass. Her standoffish demeanor and secretive past makes her rather intimidating. She is difficult to read, and she doesn’t like talking about her feelings — or having feelings at all. Jake and Amy are her closest friends, even if she refuses to admit enjoying their company. In addition, Rosa is openly bisexual.

Kurenai Yuhi from Naruto

In Naruto, Kurenai Yuhi is the wife of Asuma Sarutobi and an experienced kunoichi who specializes in genjutsu.  Kurenai has bright red eyes, fair skin, and unruly black hair.  It is revealed after her husband Asuma is killed in action that Kurenai is with child, and she later gives birth to a daughter named Mirai.

Tricky from Subway Surfer

Tricky from Subway Surfers

Tricky is an unlockable character on the popular mobile game Subway Surfer. In technical terms, she was the first bonus character available to unlock after the game’s main character, Jake, pulled off enough achievements. The Subway Surfer expanded lore (such as the eponymous animated series) reveals that Tricky is the heiress to a family fortune, but she doesn’t let that get to her head or bar her from her favorite activities. Hence, the comfortable clothes and down-to-earth attitude.

Sarah Sanderson Hocus Pocus

Sarah Sanderson from Hocus Pocus

Amuck amuck amuck! Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker) is an antagonist in Hocus Pocus. As the youngest of the Sanderson sisters, she is ditzy yet flirtatious. Her unique power is her siren like singing voice. Some makeup tutorials use dark purple lipstick but we went with red to match her sisters. We added fake spiders, her favorite snack, as they’re cheap and show commitment to the character! Just make sure to only chew, not swallow!

Disco Janet The Good Place

Disco Janet from The Good Place

“What it is, what it is!” Disco Janet is another iteration of Janet from The Good Place. Although no one knows their purpose or where they come from. Their void consists of a dance party with a nonstop record of 70s hits. When marbleized, they are trapped in a disco ball. Disco Janet gives Chidi a pair of roller skates, to which they say “solid.” We have only seen one Disco Janet in the series, which might imply there’s a Disco Place. Every iteration of Janet is played by D’Arcy Carden.

Lyra Jones from Cliche

Lyra Jones from Cliche

Lips slightly parted in an expression of grim determination,
revealing for a brief moment a set of perfect white teeth, Lyra Jones swung her saber at the nearest attacker. Her bare, muscular limbs barely strained from the effort. When all the Men of the Moon lay slain at her feet, the valiant Space Huntress allowed herself to rest….

Lyra Jones is one of four protagonists in my novella, Cliche. It tells the story of poorly-written fictional characters emerging from their books to confront their poorly writers — hilarity ensues. Lyra was originally written as a pulp fiction heroine, who somehow manages to win many an intergalactic swordfight in skimpy, impractical armor without losing life or limb. Lyra much prefers pairing her scant armor with a long-sleeved tunic and baggy pants, which offer both modesty and protection against harsh weather out in space.

Alpha from Yokohama Kaidashi Kiko (YKK)

Alpha Hatsuseno is a robot, but a very human-like robot. She displays feelings, such as amazement or embarassement. She lives day to day for the simple things while running a coffee shop, Café Alpha. Her owner went on a trip, and she is living in a world disrupted by environmental disaster. Alpha starts off shy about the outside world, people, and even other robots. As time passes, she slowly builds her confidence in Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (YKK).

Paulina Sanchez from Danny Phantom

Paulina Sanchez from Danny Phantom

Paulina Sanchez (voiced by Maria Canals Barrera) is the egotistical and vain love interest in the show Danny Phantom. While Danny’s crush on Paulina eventually ends Paulina remains part of the core character group. She even helps the main trio now and then when they are in danger, showing a softer side that she usually keeps hidden.

Paulina is usually seen in the same outfit, though she occasionally appears wearing her cheerleader uniform. From day to day Paulina prefers to keep her hair down and pinned back with barrettes. She wears a pink crop top, capri pants, and white slip-on shoes. She is also meticulous about her hails and makeup, so be sure and do both to complete the costume!

Minerva McGonagall HP CHaracter

Minerva McGonagall

Minerva McGonagall is a character in the Harry Potter book and movie series. She is a professor at Hogwarts as well as the head of the Gryffindor house. She teaches Transfiguration, which she has a talent for as an Animagus, as she can transfigure into a tabby cat. Minerva is a stern instructor, but she genuinely cares about the well being of her students. As a former Gryffindor student, she values courage and bravery above all else, and isn’t afraid to deduct points from her own house when its necessary. Her wisdom, intelligence, and leadership skills make her perhaps the most respected professor at Hogwarts alongside Dumbledore. In the movie adaptation, Dame Maggie Smith plays this role.

Janet the Good Place

Janet from The Good Place

Janet is the source of all information and knowledge in The Good Place. They also serve as an assistant, summoned by the phrase, ‘Hey Janet.’ Besides omniscience, their abilities include teleportation, retrieval, and reality warping. It is important to note Janet is not a robot, but rather an anthropomorphized vessel of knowledge. Therefore Janet is genderless, making for awesome non binary representation. Good Janets are cheerful and have a sunny disposition. Every iteration of Janet is played by D’Arcy Carden.
