Women
Sailor Venus from Sailor Moon
Sailor Venus [Minako] (voiced in Japanese by Rika Fukami and in English by Stephanie Morgenstern, Emilie Barlow, and Cherami Leigh) is one of the main characters in the anime/manga, Sailor Moon.
She originally started off as Sailor V, before joining the Sailor Scouts and becoming Sailor Venus. One of her primary fighting styles is to use a golden chain of heart shaped links, which she wears around her waist for easy access to it in the manga.
Minako has long blonde hair that she wears with a high red bow on the back of her head, and has bright blue eyes. She wears the traditional Sailor Scout uniform, with hers in a color scheme of white, orange, dark blue, and yellow. She finishes this with stud earrings, an orange choker, white elbow length gloves with orange cuffs, and orange heels with ankle straps.
Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon
Sailor Mars [Rei] (voiced in Japanese by Michie Tomizawa and in English by Katie Griffin, Emilie Barlow, and Cristina Vee) is one of the main characters in the anime/manga, Sailor Moon.
She is the Sailor Scout that uses fire powers in addition to a bow and arrow, the latter of which she gained as a skill from being a shrine priestess.
Rei has very long straight black hair with a purple tinge to it, and deep purple eyes. When transformed, she wears the traditional sailor scout uniform in white, red, and purple. It’s finished off with golden star earrings (I couldn’t find similar ones, unfortunately), a red choker, white elbow length gloves with red cuffs, and red pumps.
Mint Aizawa from Tokyo Mew Mew (2002)
Mint (voiced in Japanese by Yumi Kakazu and in English by Andi Whaley) is one of the main characters of the anime/manga Tokyo Mew Mew (2002 anime).
She is the second one of the girls to join the Mew Mews, following up just after Ichigo, and like her, also has animal DNA, with hers being the blue lorikeet. Mint starts off the series as very spoiled and bratty, but eventually grows to really care about the people around her. She heavily idolizes Zakuro and is overjoyed when she finally agrees to join the team.
Mint has dark blue hair worn up in two side buns, and lighter blue eyes. She also has a pair of wings and a bird tail in the same color as her hair. Her outfit is a bit different from the others as it’s a much lighter tone than her own colors, with everything being a teal. She wears a short zip up dress with puffed side sleeves, gloves, a teal and deep blue, almost black collar and garter set, and open ankle short boots.
Amber from Grabbed by the Ghoulies
Amber is a character in the video game, Grabbed by the Ghoulies. She is Cooper’s girlfriend and the main focus of the first two chapters. Like her boyfriend, she is spunky, tough, and carefree. Although she rarely shows a sense of humor and acts more cynical in situations.
Jane Facciano from Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies
Jane Facciano (played by Marisa Davila) is a founding member of the Pink Ladies alongside friends Nancy, Olivia, and Cynthia in the prequel series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. Jane is studious and bright, but her relationship with her high school’s quarterback leads to some unpleasant rumors circulating about her. Since the series takes place in the 1950s, there is plenty of opportunity to recreate vintage silhouettes. Jane has dark hair and wears a pair of chic cat eye glasses. Her costumes often use accessories like thin waist-cinching belts and headbands. Her skirts and dresses tend to be free-flowing and midi-length. Pair your favorite Jane look with white socks and a pair of saddle shoes, and don’t forget your Pink Ladies jacket, which you can personalize with a fabric marker by adding Jane’s name to the front.
Leslie Meyers from South Park
Leslie Meyers (voiced by April Stewart) is a character in the animated comedy series South Park. She is an antagonist in season 19 of the show. Leslie appears like a normal fourth-grade girl, but it is eventually revealed she is actually a self-aware ad disguised as a student. At one point, she takes advantage of Kyle Broflovski to spread misinformation. Leslie has dark hair held back with a yellow headband and wears a yellow shirt with a robot graphic print, green pants, and black shoes. To create her shirt, use a standard long-sleeved yellow shirt and then use white fabric paint to make the oval of the robot’s face. Once it dries, draw the antennae, eyes, and mouth with a fabric marker.
Annie Pemdon from BrainPOP Jr.
Annie Pemdon (voiced by Karina Linch) is one of the two main characters of BrainPOP Jr.‘s educational videos, alongside an orange and silver robot named Moby. Annie is cheerful and shy, and the only human character with a speaking voice from the BrainPOP Jr. series. Annie wears a golden yellow and blue raglan tee, which can be hard to find an exact match for, so don’t be afraid to focus on the yellow to get your costume as close as possible. Annie finishes her outfit with long shorts and grey sneakers. She wears her dark hair in two pigtails secured with red hair ties, and also wears two red bands on her wrist and a red necklace. Lastly, Annie dons a pair of red-framed glasses.
Sheshka from Fullmetal Alchemist
Sheska (voiced in Japanese [2003] by Naomi Wakabayashi/[2009] by Chika Fujimura and in English by Gwendolyn Lau) is a secondary character in the anime/manga series Fullmetal Alchemist.
She used to work for the National Central Library, before being fired for reading instead of working. The Elric brothers then went to her for research help, where it was revealed that she has a photographic memory and was able to recreate any book she had read prior.
Sheska has short, messy mouse brown hair, with dark greyish black eyes that she wears half frame round grey glasses over. She wears an eggplant purple turtleneck sweater with blue jeans, with white socks.
Amanda from Amanda the Adventurer
Amanda (voiced by Blair Greene-Osako) is the titular character of the indie horror game Amanda the Adventurer. Alongside her sheep companion Wooly, Amanda explores the world around her while the player slowly realizes all is not what it seems. Amanda wears a yellow shirt, turquoise shorts, and yellow sneakers with purple socks. Her hair is styled into two puff balls.
Marta/Martel from Fullmetal Alchemist
Marta/Martel (voiced in Japanese [2003] by Rumi Kasahara/[2009] by Takako Honda and in English by Tiffany Grant) is a side character in the anime/manga series Fullmetal Alchemist.
She is part of the homunculus Greed’s group of chimera human hybrids, with hers being specifically a snake, which lets her be extremely flexible, past the point of contortion.
Marta has short, slicked back blonde hair and hazel eyes. She wears a black tank top with a knife holster attached to it, belted loose blue pants, and black boots with brown spats over them. Depending on the version, her tattoo is either green or purple.
