Carbon Costume

Father Jack Hackett (played by Frank Kelly) is one of the trio of bad priests banished to Craggy Island in the British television series Father Ted.  Father Jack is an alcoholic and tends to be very rude, often more antagonistic than his fellow priests Father Ted Crilly and Father Dougal McGuire.  As is sometimes the case, the accessories are really what will make your Father Jack costume work.  Start with a black shirt and tab collar, and a black suit to match.  Then, you’ll want a balding wig that you can style to be as wildly disheveled as possible.  Use a makeup sponge and a cream makeup stick to add red blotches to your face, and then complete your outfit with a cane and a fake cigarette.

Father Ted Crilly (played by comedian Dermot Morgan) is the titular character of the comedy series Father Ted.  One of three priests exiled to Craggy Island, Father Ted finds himself living alongside Father Dougal McGuire and Father Jack Hackett as well as their housekeeper, Mrs. Doyle.  Father Ted has grey hair and dark eyebrows.  His usual outfit consists of a black suit and his priest’s collar, though he also favors a cozy grey cardigan upon occasion.
