Ulrich Stern from Code Lyoko
Ulrich Stern (voiced in English by Barbara Weber-Scaff) is one of the Lyoko Warriors and a main character in the French cartoon Code Lyoko. Ulrich is well known to be the best fighter amongst his friends, including Yumi Ishiyama, for whom he has romantic feelings. His relationship with Yumi sometimes leads him to clash with Willian Dunbar, who also has feelings for her. Ulrich’s standard clothing includes cargo pants and a t-shirt all in shades of brown and green. His warrior costume can be recreated by choosing tightly-fitted compression wear in similar colors and pairing them with a pair of katana swords, which are his primary weapons.
Yumi Ishiyama from Code Lyoko
Yumi Ishiyama (voiced by Mirabelle Kirkland) is one of the Lyoko Warriors from the French cartoon Code Lyoko. Yumi is a calm and athletic person, as well as Aelita Schaeffer’s best friend. Her relationship with Ulrich Stern wavers between platonic and romantic throughout the series. Yumi’s typical clothing is black and straightforward. However, to recreate her original virtual costume, you’ll need to be a little creative. By layering red leggings with brown socks and beige sports tape, you can mimic much of her outfit. Then, you’ll need to layer a yellow obi over your dress, and wield a pair of fans to finish the look.
Franz Hopper from Code Lyoko
In Code Lyoko, he might go by Frank Hopper but this ingenious scientist’s real name is Waldo Franz Schaeffer. He has had three voice actors and one live-action actor across different seasons and incarnations of the show. All you need to copy Hopper’s outfit is a brown turtleneck, black slacks, brown shoes, and a lab coat. Add in a shaggy grey wig and some costume glasses and you’re good to go! William has romantic feelings for fellow warrior Yumi Ishiyama, which makes it difficult for him to get along with Ulrich Stern, as they both vie for her attention. Aside from his intense interest in Yumi, William is often aloof and laidback. To recreate his warrior costume, you’ll want to focus on tightly-fitted clothing in black and orange. You can use compression gear and a surfing rash guard to mimic the skintight bodysuit look.
