The Genie from Aladdin
You ain’t never had a friend like him! The Genie is a supporting character in the Disney animated movie, Aladdin. Voiced by the legendary Robin Williams, the Genie resides in a lamp in the Cave of Wonders. When Jafar sends Aladdin to retrieve the lamp, he rubs it himself and meets the Genie, who grants him three wishes. The Genie helps him win the affections of Princess Jasmine by giving him the alter ego of Prince Ali. Benevolent and sentimental, the Genie is known for shapeshifting and comedic impressions. He comes to care about Aladdin, and they develop a genuine friendship. At the end of the movie, Aladdin uses his last wish to set the Genie free.
