John Lennon from Yellow Submarine
John Lennon is one of the singers and guitarists of The Beatles. He writes many of the band’s songs with Paul McCartney. His other band members include George Harrison and Ringo Starr. In 1968, they starred in the animated movie, Yellow Submarine. The plot revolves around the Fab Four defeating the Blue Meanies, and of course, riding in a yellow submarine. The aesthetic is very colorful and trippy. The band released an album under the same name featuring the songs in the movie. Iron on the pink flowers to the shirt and use the fabric paint for the lines down the pants.
Kate Bush in “Wuthering Heights”
In the “Wuthering Heights” music video, English singer-songwriter Kate Bush is seen dancing out in the wild windy moors, adorned with flowers and a flowy red dress. It features his biggest hit yet, “Watermelon Sugar.” It broke records as the biggest debut from a British male artist. His outfit on the album’s cover is iconic, capturing a laidback, retro aesthetic. The jewelry and painted nails shows Harry embracing his feminine side.

Alexander Gumuchian, aka bbno$ (pronounced baby no money) is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born in Vancouver, he is best known for his freestyle raps and signature pink beanie/round glasses. His single, “Lalala,” which began as messing around with producer Y2K in the studio, unexpectedly went viral as a a Tiktok sensation. It now has over 600 million plays on Spotify. He often collaborates with fellow rapper Yung Gravy.

Taylor Swift is an American singer/songwriter. From “Love Story” to “You Belong with Me,” her songs narrate her personal and romantic life. She started out as a country singer, but her current music fits more of the pop genre. Taylor is one of the world’s best selling music artists and the highest earning female musician of the 2010s. Some of her hit albums include Red, Speak Now, 1989, and her most recent album, Lover. As most musicians, Taylor’s style has evolved throughout the years, so we have three looks from each era of her career. You can go classic country pop with her long hair and cowboy boots, Red style with a black fedora and red flats, or a modern T-Swift with a glittery dress.

Guitarist and music producer Jonathan Bree is known for his frequent collaborations with fellow New Zealand artist Princess Chelsea (such as “The Cigarette Duet”). His solo work as a musician is just as entertaining and bizarre, as he hides his entire behind a white mask and wears very Beatle-esque clothing for his onstage ensemble.

Sia is an Australian singer and songwriter. Her music falls under the pop, electropop, indie pop, and acid jazz genres. Some of her chart topping songs include “Elastic Heart,” “Cheap Thrills,” and “Chandelier.” Her avant garde music videos often feature dancer Maddie Ziegler. Aesthetically, Sia is known for her half white, half black bob with bangs that cover her eyes.

Weird Al Yankovic is a singer-songwriter known for his silly parodies and pastiches, scoring hit singles like “Amish Paradise” and “White & Nerdy”. He’s also starred film and television with UHF and The Weird Al Show respectively. Put on the glasses and mustache for his 80s look.
