Thea Preston from Bill and Ted Face the Music
Thea Preston (Samara Weaving) is the daughter of Wyld Stallyns rocker Bill S. Preston, cowriter-to-be of the greatest song of all time. Although her father and his best friend Ted Logan have yet to actually accomplish this feat, this hasn’t stopped Thea from inheriting her father’s musical talent (and then some, probably from her mother’s side) and penchant for unusual fashion.

Billie Logan from Bill and Ted Face the Music
Billie Preston (Brigette Lundy Payne) is the daughter of legendary rockstar-in-the-making, Ted “Theodore” Logan, one of the two Great Ones regarded by future music listeners as the creators of the greatest song of all time. Rewind to the present: Billie’s father still hasn’t mastered his musical craft, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t passed down some semblance of talent (combined with an eclectic fashion sense) to his daughter.

James Cole from 12 Monkeys
In 12 Monkeys, James Cole (played by Bruce Willis) is a prisoner who is offered parole if he can complete a dangerous mission that involves time travel. James is sent back to 1996 from the year 2035 in order to try and stop a plague from plunging the world into chaos and wiping out millions of people. During James’ first trip back in time, he is inadvertently sent to 1990, where he meets animal rights activist Jeffrey Goines. James wears several outfits, depending on which timeline he is in, but one of his most recognizable includes an army green jacket and burgundy zip up sweatshirt.
Bill & Ted
In Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, William “Bill” Preston Esquire (Alex Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves) are two metalhead slackers trying to write a history report when they encounter a traveler from the future who gives them access to a time travel machine.
Rick Sanchez
In Rick and Morty, Rick Sanchez is a genius scientist who splits his time between domestic squabbles and intergalactic time travel, bringing his distressed grandson Morty along for the ride.
Al Calavicci from Quantum Leap
Cantankerous, but lovable Al Calavicci (Dean Stockwell) is a former naval aviator who now serves as Dr. Samuel Beckett’s assistant, guide and best friend in Quantum Leap. When he’s not helping Sam leap from time period to time period in an attempt to get him back home, you’ll find him enjoying his favorite cigar and checking out the local hotties.
Joe from Looper
In Looper, young Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a time-traveling assassin paid to kill victims sent back in time by a crime syndicate. Things are going just peachy until they send back old Joe (Bruce Willis), his 30-year-older self.
The 11th Doctor
Change is good. The 11th Doctor knows this. That’s why he wears a bowtie now. Bowties are cool. And sure, his regeneration was a little rocky and maybe the TARDIS needed a new desktop theme anyway, but he’s got everything under control. Really. You can stop laughing at any time.
Doc Brown
Dr. Emmett Lathrop “Doc” Brown, Ph.D., played by Christopher Lloyd, is best friends with Marty McFly in the Back to the Future series. Brilliant but absentminded, he invents a time machine using a DeLorean, a flux capacitor, and plutonium stolen from Libyan terrorists. Great Scott!
The 9th Doctor
What can you say about the Doctor that hasn’t already been said over his show’s fifty-year history? He’s nine hundred years old, he’s an alien and he travels through time and space in a 1963 blue police call box. Also, sometimes he looks like Christopher Eccleston and that’s pretty fantastic.
