Honda Kiku, also known as Japan, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Japan is a reserved, yet hard-working individual. He isn’t fond of socializing, especially with strangers. He is close to Germany and Italy as part of the Axis Powers, and he also gets along with Greece. However he has sour relationships with China and Korea. His usual companion is a Shiba Inu named Pochi.

Arthur Kirkland, also known as England, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Despite his name, he represents all of the United Kingdom. He claims he’s a gentleman, but he’s really cynical and sharp-tongued. He is easily misunderstood which makes him disliked by others. However, there’s another side to him, one that believes in folklore and fairies, and he is able to communicate with magical spirits. A running joke is that England is a terrible cook.

Francis Bonnefoy, also known as France, is a main character in the anime Hetalia: Axis Powers. He is seen as a “Big Brother” by other countries, such as Austria. However he tends to make inappropriate comments towards the other countries, warranting unwanted affection. He has a rivalry with England. While our guide isn’t screen accurate, we designed it with France’s fashionable and more feminine tastes in mind. But of course we included a red rose, which is his signature accessory.

Ludwig Beilschmidt, also known as Germany, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. He is the leader of the Axis Powers, thus commanding Italy and Japan. He is a no-nonsense individual who always abides by the rules. He constantly yells at Italy for wandering off, but he does care about him. His brother is Prussia. Matthew Williams, also known as Canada, is a side character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. While he sometimes gets mistaken for his brother, America, he acts nothing like him. Whereas America is bold and outspoken, Canada is shy and passive. Other countries tend to forget he exists, which makes him nostalgic for when England and France used to pamper him. Even pet polar bear, Kumajirou, asks “who are you?” to which he sheepishly responds, “I’m Canada.”

Lovino Vargas, also known as South Italy or Romano, is a side character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. In contrast to his younger brother, Feliciano, he is rude and unaffectionate. But behind his tough act, he’s just as clumsy and cowardly. He has assimilated Spain’s culture because Spain raised him. Unlike Feliciano, he hates Germany. Attach the the pipe cleaner onto the wig and bend it to make Romano’s upwards curl.

“I’m the hero!” Alfred F. Jones, also known as America or U.S, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. He is the personification of America: patriotic, heroic, and a natural born leader. Yet his confidence can come off as cockiness, and seems to poke his nose into everyone’s business. England had once seen him like a younger brother, but their separation has caused a rift in their relationship. America is often seen with a hamburger and soda pop, flashing a thumbs up. The “50” on the back of his bomber jacket represents the 50 states.

Italia Veneziano, also known as North Italy, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Everyone thought he was a girl because of his high voice, but they realized otherwise when his voice dropped mid-song. He is cheerful and energetic, yet quite ditzy and sensitive. This annoys Germany because he prefers to wander off rather than listen to his commands. North Italy loves food, namely pasta. He carries a white flag because he often surrenders to other countries. Pair this costume with black shoes and you’re set!
