Mary Jane from Disjointed

Mary Jane (played by Missi Pyle) is the spiritual embodiment of marijuana. She appears to Pete in a time of need and gets … attached. Very attached. Clingy, even. But hey, what’s a possibly imaginary relationship with a divine being representing the plant you’ve spent your life growing to a professional like Pete?!

Mary Jane is a bit of a spin on ancient Greek gods. So the basis of her costume is a flowing green dress that attaches at the wrists as well. The attachments are covered with fake marijuana leaves which also make up her crown. A blonde wig and gold sandals finish off the look!

You will have to make her crown, unfortunately. But thankfully it’s easy to make! Start with a basic fern crown and add on fake pot leaves with a glue gun! I recommend the Chandler as it’s the one I use for all of my cosplay work.

Runa Yomozuki from Kakegurui

In the anime series Kakegurui, Runa Yomozuki (voiced by Mayu Udono and Kayli Mills) is the leader of the election committee, as well as a member of student council at the Hyakkaou Private Academy.  Small of stature, Runa looks much younger than many of her peers and can often be seen eating lollipops to satisfy her sweet tooth.  Runa’s outfit consists of the standard school uniform for Hyakkaou, paired with thigh high striped socks and an orange rabbit kigurumi sweatshirt.

rex salazar from generator rex

Rex Salazar from Generator Rex

Rex Salazar (voiced by Daryl Sabara) is the main character of the TV series Generator Rex. Rex is a teenager with the ability to grow machines and weapons from his body at will because of the nanites in his body. Rex is an Exponentially Variegated Organism (EVO), and has the power to heal other EVOs when they are injured. Rex’s outfit consists of a red and gold moto jacket, and black pants with blue geometric details that glow blue-white when he uses his powers. To replicate this effect, you could use glow in the dark fabric paint to create the designs, so they will stand out in the dark. Likewise, a red and gold moto jacket may be difficult come by, but you could experiment with some gold leather paint on a red and white jacket if you’re feeling crafty.

Dank and Dabby from Disjointed

Dank and Dabby from Disjointed

It’s hard to describe Dank and Dabby. They’re unique people on their own. Together they form an entertaining duo that brings a healthy dose of adorably strange to the scene whenever they show up. Don’t let the funny fool you, though. They’re also sharp business owners, talented artists, and fiercely loyal friends.

Dank and Dabby both have distinctive styles. Dank favors stiff-brimmed hats, marijuana-themed t-shirts, dark jeans, and sneakers. Dabby’s look always includes an unusual cat t-shirt, a purple zip-front hoodie, Chuck Taylor’s, and a unique hairstyle with some of her hair up on top of her head in a top knot and the rest down around her shoulders

homelander-theboys-character

Homelander from The Boys

Homelander is a character in the Amazon TV series, The Boys, played by Antony Starr. He is the leader of The Seven, a team of superheroes who actually do more harm than good. His powers include flight, super strength, super hearing, plus x-ray and laser vision. Despite his symbolic similarities to Superman and Captain America, he is the antagonist. While the public thinks of him as a benevolent hero, he is actually vain, twisted, and power-obsessed. He is probably the most evil and sociopathic of The Seven. Billy Butcher knows his true character, and seeks revenge on him for the death of his wife.

marcus from raised by wolves

Marcus from Raised by Wolves

Marcus (played by Travis Fimmel) is one of the main characters of the HBO Max show Raised by Wolves.  He is a follower of the Mithraic faith, and eventually becomes the leader of a group of humans who have relocated to the planet Kepler-22b in order to escape an Earth ravaged by war.  Marcus finds himself in conflict with Mother, an android who was previously sent to Kepler-22b with Father and human embryos in an effort to begin populating the new planet.  Marcus’ clothing is tactical in feel and mostly white.  If you have some skill with a paintbrush, you could paint the Mithraic sun symbol onto a white tunic.  Otherwise, a Crusader costume will help evoke the same feel.  For a little extra detail, use an FX kit to recreate the scarring on the right side of Marcus’ face.

Ruth Whitefeather Feldman from Disjointed

Ruth Whitefeather Feldman from Disjointed

Ruth’s look is comfortable, colorful, and casual. You’ll want to start with a long wavy wig in silver tones. A long colorful shrug and coordinating top start the outfit while cuffed jeans and slip-on shoes finish the look.
