Anna Worthington
Anna Worthington is a character in Codename: Kids Next Door. She acts as secretary to James Nixon McGarfield, the class president of Gallagher Elementary’s fourth graders. Later on, she becomes his girlfriend. Because of her love for him, Anna is devoted to assisting Jimmy with his schemes. She isn’t a direct villain, but she can be cunning, possessive, and temperamental.
Drake Parker
Drake Parker (Drake Bell) is a main character in the Nickelodeon sitcom, Drake and Josh. He is the older brother of Megan Parker. When his mom remarries, he becomes the stepbrother of Josh Nichols. Whereas Josh cares about academic achievements, Drake slacks off in school. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, as he doesn’t seem to know there’s a “New” Jersey. Drake would rather play electric guitar and flirt with girls. At first, Drake tended to manipulate Josh’s kindness, but as the show progressed, he realizes he needs Josh in his life. As a result, Drake learns to be more responsible and selfless.
The Corinthian from The Sandman
The Corinthian (played by Boyd Holbrook) is a character from Neil Gaiman’s graphic novel The Sandman. The Corinthian is a nightmare created by Dream, who makes his way into the waking world where he indulges in murder and influences others to give in to their darker tendencies. In the Netflix adaptation, the Corinthian wears a long light grey trench coat and round-lens sunglasses to hide his “eyes,” which unlike humans are actually rows of teeth. He dresses well otherwise, so lean into your preppier side when recreating his look for a costume. He also favors a dagger as a weapon when not using his supernatural powers.
Apple Dumplin’ from Strawberry Shortcake
Apple Dumplin’ (voiced by Rebecca Shoichert) is a character in the Strawberry Shortcake franchise. In the 2009 iteration, she is a cousin of Strawberry Shortcake herself who runs a blog. She’s also best friends with Lemon Meringue and Sour Grapes. Apple Dumplin’s look consists of a plaid skirt, white and yellow leggings, a white tee, and a yellow vest. She accessorizes with a red knit hat, apple hair clip, and green belt. She finishes off the look with a pair of red boots. If you can’t find white and yellow striped leggings, a pair of pale yellow ones will also work.
Madisynn from She-Hulk
Madisynn (Patty Guggenheim) is a character in the Disney+ Marvel series, She-Hulk. Her name is Madisynn with a “Y” but not where you think it is. She first appears as a volunteer in Donny Blaze’s magic show, tipsy off her martini. His misuse of the Mystic Arts sends her through a portal to another dimension, where she meets Wong. She testifies against Blaze as a victim of his crimes. She also claims she made a deal with a demon that she can’t disclose (Mephisto, perhaps?) Madisynn quickly became a fan favorite, notably for the post-credit scene where she watches The Sopranos with Wong, whom she affectionately calls “Wongers.”
Josh Nichols
Josh Nichols (Josh Peck) is a main character of the Nickelodeon sitcom, Drake and Josh. When his dad remarries, he becomes the stepbrother of Drake and Megan Parker. While Drake likes picking up girls, Josh prefers studying for tests. His interests include video games, magic tricks, and Oprah. He’s known to repeat words for emphasis (emphasis!). While Josh tries to stay out of trouble as the “responsible” one, Drake unintentionally pulls him into his schemes. Though he’ll always have Drake’s back, and throughout the show, Josh learns to be more carefree and confident.
The Chicken Lady from The Kids in the Hall
In The Kids in the Hall, the Chicken Lady (Mark McKinney) is half man, half chicken. Apparently the offspring of a farmer and a hen, she’s the size of a human adult, smart as a bird, and sexually obsessed. For this costume you’ll need the wardrobe of an older lady and feathers, lots of feathers.
James Nixon McGarfield
James “Jimmy” Nixon McGarfield is an antagonist in Codename: Kids Next Door. He is the self proclaimed Fourth Grade President for Life at Gallagher Elementary School. It’s revealed Jimmy works for Father, the arch nemesis of the KND. He abuses his power as president until he is sent to permanent detention at the KND Arctic Base.
Raspberry Torte from Strawberry Shortcake
Raspberry Torte (voiced by Ingrid Nilson) is a character from the Strawberry Shortcake franchise. Originally known as Raspberry Tart, she picks up her role in the 2009 reboot of the series as owner of the Fresh Fashions boutique and a friend of Strawberry Shortcake. Raspberry Torte has bright pink hair and wears green and pink clothes reminiscent of the berry that gives her her name. Finding an exact match for her pink and green dress would be tough, so layer a green shirt under a pink dress and bolero to achieve a similar look. Finding her magenta Mary Jane shoes might also be tricky, so focus on finding a pair of shoes that match the aesthetic as closely as possible. Hot pink t-straps or a pair of pink flats can both do the trick.
Charlotte from Making Fiends
Charlotte (voiced by Amy Winfrey, the creator of the show) is one of the two main characters of the webshow turned tv show, Making Fiends.
She is a very bubbly but oblivious character, constantly causing absolute chaos for her classmate that she considers to be her friend, Vendetta.
Due to the fact that all the characters in this show are monochromatic in terms of their colors, this will be up to personality interpretation for the actual look.
I went with a blue bottom curled wig to mimic the way Charlotte’s hair curls inwards, a blue bow clip to go on top of the wig, a simplistic lolita style summer dress in baby blue, blue shoes with a white ruffle trim to match the dress, and a pair of white tights to offset the color a bit and tie in with the shoe detailing.
