In Coco, Elena Rivera, endearingly called Abuelita for "Granny" in Spanish, is Miguel Rivera's grandmother and matriach of the family. Like her grandmother Imelda, she continues enforcing the family's ban on music, instead working hard as shoemakers. If you break her rules, you're liable to get a mean slipper swinging your way.
