David is the main character from the A24 film The Lobster, and is played by Colin Farrel. The Lobster is set in a dystopian society where people have to get into a relationship within 45 days or they are transformed into an animal of their choice. We follow David throughout the film as he struggles to find someone to be with despite his quiet personality.

To dress like David, wear a black poncho with a green raincoat or a navy blue blazer, blue shirt, and navy striped tie.

Duncan Wedderburn is one of the main characters from the film Poor Things, and is played by Mark Ruffalo. Poor Things is a truly unique film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and follows Bella Baxter, a woman who is reanimated and goes again through stages of childhood to adulthood throughout the film. She goes on an adventure to see the world with lawyer Duncan Wedderburn.

To dress like Duncan, wear a three-piece gray suit with a white shirt, black bow tie, black leather gloves, a straw boater hat with black wig on, and a black cane with a gold handle.

Velma is one of the main characters from the 2002 film Scooby-Doo, and is played by Linda Cardellini. This movie is a live-action take on the original Scooby-Doo cartoons. It follows the classic group as they travel to Spooky Island to investigate paranormal incidents at a spring break spot.

Velma’s look follows the original cartoon very closely and brings it to life in a realistic way. To dress like Velma, wear an orange turtleneck sweater, a red skirt, tall orange socks, red wedge shoes, a brown bob wig and black framed glasses.

Maestro is a film directed by Bradley Cooper who also stars as the protagonist, Leonard Bernstein. The film is a biopic of Leonard Bernstein’s life and rise to fame as a successful conductor. Carey Mulligan in the film plays Felicia Montealegre, an actress and wife of Bernstein. We get to see her life alongside him as they grow old and face different struggles.

Earlier in the film, when Felicia is younger at a party, we see her wear an elegant outfit that features a light blue dress paired with 3 strands of pearls. Later she wears a recognizable look of a tweed blazer and skirt with a pink bow blouse.

The new trailer for the second Beetlejuice film released recently and is called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, planned to release this fall of 2024. The film takes place in the future after the previous one we all know from 1988. Most of the cast is the same as the original, playing their original characters.

One of the characters returning is Lydia Deetz, played again by Winona Ryder. To dress like Lydia as we can see her in the trailer, wear a black coat over a maxi black skirt, black boots, and oversized black sunglasses. Add a black wig with bangs to create her iconic style with choppy bangs.

Eddie is a character from the Netflix series The Gentlemen, and is played by Theo James. The series follows Eddie who inherits his family’s estate, only to discover that it’s home to a drug empire.

Eddie wears clothing that is both classic and modern. To dress like Eddie, wear a checked gray coat with a navy blue sweater and a brown tweed three-piece suit with a denim shirt and orange and brown paisley printed tie.

Although, there is one main character that is joining the bunch, played by Jenna Ortega. Her character is named Astrid Deetz. Although we aren’t exactly sure what her story is yet, we know Ortega will bring something new and exciting to the film based on her past performance as Wednesday. Both that series and this film have been directed by Tim Burton.

Astrid’s looks, based on what we can see in the trailer, fit the dark theme of the film and match the rest of the cast while maintaining her own personality. We see her riding a bike through the iconic town we recognize and she wears a striped sweater dress that has been distressed and has a gothic edge to it. When we see her in promo picks along with the rest of the cast who seem to be dressed for what looks to be a funeral, she wears a deep purple coat rather than a black one. In another scene she dresses even lighter, wearing a blue denim jacket with a floral dress. I can’t wait to see the transformation her wardrobe takes throughout the film.

Susie is a character from the Netflix series The Gentlemen, and is played by Kaya Scodelario. The series follows a man named Eddie who inherits his family’s estate, only to discover that it’s home to a drug empire. Susie is the woman behind the drug operation and leads Eddie into her world.

To dress like Susie in her bold, all-red velvet outfit, wear a red velvet blazer, red velvet shirt, a red waist belt, and red pants. Another look is a brown wool coat with a fur collar layered over a denim shirt with a navy sweater vest over that.
