Berkeley from Zombieland 2
In Zombieland Double Tap, Berkeley (played by Avan Jogian) is a pacifist living in a post-apocalyptic world. When he crosses paths with sisters Wichita and Little Rock, Little Rock is immediately smitten by his handsome looks and unique perspective and they hit the road together. Berkeley wears breezy linen clothing, plenty of wooden beads, and is never seen without his trusty guitar so he can play his “original” tunes.
Walter Thrombey from Knives Out
Walt Thrombey (played by Michael Shannon) is the youngest of Harlan Thrombey’s children, and is the head of his prolific father’s publishing company, responsible for distributing the mystery writer’s books. Walt and his father argue constantly over selling the rights to Harlan’s work for use on other platforms. Walt’s clothing is relatively plain, relying on a drab color palette. Throughout the film, he uses a cane because his left foot is in a walking boot.
Professor Proton from The Big Bang Theory
In The Big Bang Theory, Arthur Jeffries, a.k.a. well-known children’s science TV show host Professor Proton (played by Bob Newhart) is a personal hero of Sheldon Cooper and is hired by Sheldon and Leonard Hofstadter to perform a private science show. Though typically seen in a tie and lab coat, Professor Proton also has a recurring appearance in Sheldon’s dreams dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi and offering pertinent life advice.
Porco Rosso
In the English version of Porco Rosso, Michael Keaton voices the titular character. A former WWI fighter ace, Marco is cursed and therefore forced to spend his days as an anthropomorphic pig who goes by the name Porco Rosso and makes his living as a bounty hunter who chases air pirates. Porco Rosso’s clothing consists of pretty standard pilot clothing including sunglasses, goggles, and a scarf.
Dmitri from The Grand Budapest Hotel
In Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, Adrien Brody plays Dmitri, the son of the wealthy Madame D. Following her death, he accuses M. Gustave of her murder, setting into motion much of the action of the film. Dmitri wears all black and is a member of the fascist “ZZ,” as indicated by an armband he can be seen wearing.
Deputy Kovacs from The Grand Budapest Hotel
In The Grand Budapest Hotel, Deputy Kovacs (played by Jeff Goldblum) is a lawyer who represents the interests of the hotel and Madame D. He is responsible for reading the will that bestows the Boy with Apple painting to M. Gustave. Deputy Kovacs wears a pinstripe suit and round rimmed glasses.
Wichita from Zombieland 2
In Zombieland Double Tap, Wichita (played by Emma Stone) remains enigmatic and protective of her younger sister. When Columbus makes a serious relationship move, she pulls her signature disappearing act, only to return to ask for help when her sister runs away with a boy from Berkeley. Wichita’s outfit is functional with sturdy boots, a basic t-shirt, and leather jacket.
Annie Graham from Hereditary
In Ari Aster’s Hereditary, Annie Graham (played by Toni Collette) is the mother of Peter and Charlie. Annie has a history of mental health issues and a troubled past with her own mother, who is recently deceased. Following another death, Annie spirals into depression and fits of rage as dark secrets about her family are revealed. Annie’s clothing is breezy and loose fitting, with lots of layers and linen fabrics.
Mr. Bill from SNL
Oh nooo, Mr. Bill! Mr. Bill (created and voiced by Walter Williams) is one of SNL’s most enduring characters, with celebrity endorsements that include Pringles, Burger King, and many others. A parody claymation character, Mr. Bill wears a red shirt and blue pants and has bright yellow-blond hair.
Jeffrey Goines from 12 Monkeys
In 12 Monkeys, Jeffrey Goines (played by Brad Pitt) is an animal rights and anti-consumer activist, as well as the son of Nobel Prize-winning virologist Dr. Leland Goines. Jeffrey meets time traveler James Cole in a while hospitalized in 1990 and by 1996, he is the founder of the Army of the Twelve Monkeys. Jeffrey is a jittery fanatic who uses his street clothes and hospital gown in a variety of combinations.
