Anime Ink Con Brings Anime Fans and Tattoo Enthusiasts Together
Since 2019, Anime Ink Con has descended on Richmond, Virginia with only one goal in mind: bringing fans of anime […]
Paul from Eddsworld
Paul (voiced by and based upon Paul ter Voorde) is a recurring character in the web cartoon Eddsworld. Paul looks a lot like Patryck, but is distinguishable by his extremely thick eyebrows and the fact that he almost always carries a cigarette with him. Paul’s look consists primarily of a blue military-style jacket with a high collar, which you can layer over grey pants and boots. If you don’t have the messy brown hair, a wig can work instead, just be sure to give it a good muss as a finishing touch to your costume.
Albedo from Ben 10
Albedo (voiced primarily by Yuri Lowenthal) is a recurring villain from the Ben 10 franchise. Albedo is a Galvan alien, but appears human in form. This transformation was the result of a failed bid to turn himself into a clone of Ben Tennyson. Albedo’s look is very similar to Ben, but with inverted colors. As such, he wears a black t-shirt and grey jeans with a red and black jacket. To easily recreate the circular patch on his jacket, you can use a white circle-shaped sticker and simply draw the number with a Sharpie marker.
Tiffany Fluffit from The Bad Guys
Tiffany Fluffit (voiced by Lilly Singh) is a minor character in the animated movie The Bad Guys. Tiffany often covers the exploits of Mr. Wolf and his crew, as well as the other important happenings of the film. Tiffany wears a purple pants suit and flats to match. Her accessories run the gamut from gold hoops to hair beads and a blue bracelet.
Lucifer from Constantine
Lucifer (played by Peter Stormare) is the antagonist of the film Constantine. Lucifer was tricked into returning John Constantine‘s soul to him, which allows John the opportunity to prove himself worthy of an eternity in Heaven. Lucifer wears all white, in direct juxtaposition with the darkness typically associated with him. To cap off the look, you can use an eye pencil to draw on the tattoos visible around the collar of his shirt, and wear black socks or shoes if you aren’t up for drenching your feet in black goo.
Ethan Mars from Heavy Rain
Ethan Mars (voiced by Pascal Langdale) is one of four playable characters in the action-adventure game Heavy Rain. After another painful loss, Ethan’s son is kidnapped by the Origami Killer and he must do everything he can to save him. Ethan became a meme when the “Press X to Shaun” glitch was discovered. Ethan’s primary outfit throughout the game includes a brown jacket, blue jeans, and dark work boots. If you’re not ready to grow out your own five-o’clock-shadow, using a brown eyebrow pencil can help you shade your face to look more haggard.
Ada Wong from Resident Evil 4
Ada Wong (voiced in RE4 by Sally Cahill) is a character from the Resident Evil franchise. She has appeared in several iterations throughout the course of the series. In Resident Evil 4, Ada wears an embroidered dress with a high thigh slit. There are a few ways you can choose to recreate her appearance, including buying a replica dress. Otherwise, you can opt for a simpler version or a plain red dress with a similar silhouette. You can also choose to wear either flats or heels depending on which you prefer. Be sure to top the outfit off with a thigh holster and a prop gun, as Ada’s work as a spy means she’s always armed.
Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez from Highlander
Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez (played by Sean Connery) is an immortal being in the film Highlander who seeks out Connor MacLeod, known as the Highlander, after his first death in order to teach him the ways of the Game. Juan’s original name was Tak Ne, but by the time he meets Connor, his style has changed significantly since his life in Egypt. As with most historical costumes, putting Juan’s outfit together can get a little pricey, so you’ll need to decide if and when you’re willing to compromise. A close match to Juan’s red and gold uniform might be worth the money if you want it to look authentic. However, you can get close with an embroidered jacket and red pants. Likewise, unless you’re willing to make a peacock feather cloak of your own, it’s unlikely you’ll find one. But a green cape with a matching feather collar will come close, and you can add some additional feathers to it if you’d like with a little glue. Don’t forget Juan’s signature sword, a katana forged by the father of his third wife with a white ivory handle.
Misty Luggins from The Bad Guys
Chief Misty Luggins (voiced by Alex Borstein) is a police officer intent on catching Mr. Wolf and his gang in the movie The Bad Guys. Chief Luggins has a very narrow definition of right and wrong, which becomes apparent when she remains committed to catching the Bad Guys crew even after they’ve proven themselves to be redeemable. Chief Luggins has ginger red hair and wears a short-sleeved police uniform with dark blue shorts. She also wears black boots and has six stars on the lapel of her uniform shirt.
Mr. Snake from The Bad Guys
Mr. Snake (voiced by Marc Maron) is a supporting character in the DreamWorks animated feature The Bad Guys. Mr. Snake is Mr. Wolf‘s best friend and a member of his gang. Mr. Snake is a safe cracker by trade, making him an integral part of many of Mr. Wolf’s schemes. To recreate Mr. Snake’s look, you’ll need to be a little flexible in your interpretation, as it’s obviously pretty difficult to actually look like a reptile without limbs. But by layering a hibiscus-printed shirt and a bucket hat over a yellow bodysuit, you can get close. The felt mask adds a nice touch, too. While the one pictured here is green and part of a larger set, you can also opt to go the DIY route and follow a tutorial for creating your own. Just make sure to adjust your materials to better suit Mr. Snake’s color scheme if that’s important to you.
