Doki Doki Literature Club
Doki Doki Literature Club is a freeware visual novel game. While it initially appears to be a light-hearted dating simulator, things take a more sinister turn fairly quickly. The four main characters of the game include Monika, Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki, all of whom vie for the attention of the male protagonist at different points of the game. The girls all wear identical school uniforms that include a tan blazer, blue skirt, and orange vest. You can choose which character to emulate depending on the socks and wig you pair with the rest of your costume.
Éowyn from the Lord of the Rings
Éowyn (played by Miranda Otto) is the sister of Éomer in The Lord of the Rings. She is a minor character introduced late in the series. She is at first enamored of Aragorn, though she eventually goes on to marry Faramir. Éowyn is incredibly strong-willed and eventually impersonates a man in order to fight with her fellow countryman. She saves King Théodon’s life and kills the Witch-King of the Nazgul, who a prophesy had said could be killed by no man. If you’re willing to really commit to your costume, feel free to dirty up your outfit and tatter your cloak for a more authentically used look.
Yumi Ishiyama from Code Lyoko
Yumi Ishiyama (voiced by Mirabelle Kirkland) is one of the Lyoko Warriors from the French cartoon Code Lyoko. Yumi is a calm and athletic person, as well as Aelita Schaeffer’s best friend. Her relationship with Ulrich Stern wavers between platonic and romantic throughout the series. Yumi’s typical clothing is black and straightforward. William has romantic feelings for fellow warrior Yumi Ishiyama, which makes it difficult for him to get along with Ulrich Stern, as they both vie for her attention. Aside from his intense interest in Yumi, William is often aloof and laidback. To recreate his warrior costume, you’ll want to focus on tightly-fitted clothing in black and orange. You can use compression gear and a surfing rash guard to mimic the skintight bodysuit look.
Emily Sweeney from The Big Bang Theory
Emily Sweeney (played by Laura Spencer) is a dermatologist who dates Raj Koothrappali on The Big Bang Theory. Emily and Raj meet on a dating website, and she ended up being Raj’s longest lasting relationship on the show. Emily has a strange sense of humor and she is interested in all things horror. Emily has long red hair and often wears skinny jeans tucked into riding or ankle boots.
Shadow from Bear in the Big Blue House
Shadow (voiced by Tara Mooney) is a recurring character on the Disney Channel show Bear in the Big Blue House. Just as her name suggests, Shadow is a shadow in the shape of a young girl. Her role on the series consists primarily of telling stories, sometimes in the form of a song, with an Irish accent. To dress as shadow, you will want to start with a black bodysuit and then add black clothing overtop to imitate her easily recognizable silhouette.
Leah from Shimmer and Shine
Leah (voiced by Alina Foley) is a genie and one of the main characters of the Nick, Jr. show Shimmer and Shine. Leah has long blonde hair, and is shown to be a caring and honest person, dedicated to helping her friends any way she can. Leah’s genie outfit is light pink with gold shoes, while her normal outfit consists of gold sneakers, a blue skirt, and a pink shirt with stars on it.
Colette from Brawl Stars
Colette (voiced by Katie Snyder) is a chromatic brawler in the Brawl Stars mobile video game. She is a pathologically obsessed fan, particularly of Spike and Piper, as hinted by her straitjacket. Collette works at the gift shop. She can be unlocked as a Brawl Pass Reward in Tier 30. Colette’s costume includes a light blue shirt and red vest, as well as a purple scrapbook that is also incorporated into some of her attacks.
Sugar Rush Sandy from Brawl Stars
Sandy (voiced by Patrick Pedraza) is a legendary brawler in the mobile video game Brawl Stars. To recreate this particular look, you may need to employ some DIY skills. Use a yellow paint to add details to the shirt and baseball cap, and you can either sew or glue the silicone coasters onto the hat to make the eyes. If you’d like to go the extra mile, you can use an oil-based silicone paint to make the coasters blue.
Penny from The Big Bang Theory
On The Big Bang Theory, Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco) is the catalyst of the entire series when she moves in across the hall from Sheldon and his roommate Leonard, her eventual husband. Penny’s clothing changes a lot throughout the 12 seasons, which mirrors her career movements as well. Some of her most iconic clothing includes her Cheesecake Factory uniform, the daisy dukes shorts and pink tops she is known for in the early seasons while she is trying to become an actress, and her pink business suit from the series finale after she has established herself as a successful sales rep at a pharmaceutical company.
