Torch Lady (Columbia Pictures Logo)
The iconic Torch Lady logo for Columbia Pictures has been a version of a woman holding a torch since 1928. The current version, draped with a blue cloth instead of a flag, is based on a photograph Jenny Johnson taken by photographer Kathy Anderson in 1991. In the original photograph, the model was draped in a white sheet that was strategically pinned in place. For your costume, you can choose a flowy sleeveless dress with a v-neck and sandals to evoke the same Greek inspiration as Columbia’s long lineage of logos. Finish your costume with a curly wig, a long blue scarf draped over your left arm, and a light up torch held aloft in your right hand.

Velvette (voiced by Lilli Cooper) is a demon character in the web series Hazbin Hotel. She is a demon with close ties to Vox and Valentino, and is quite fashionable, often critical of others’ sense of style. Velvette’s original look was updated in 2024. To recreate her latest appearance, you can purchase a pre-made costume or create your own with a black crop top, black and red striped trousers, striped fingerless gloves, and a blue sleeveless jacket. Add heart details to your crop top and jacket with iron on patches. No matter which option you choose, you’ll need a pink and purple wig, skull earrings, and black and white shoes to complete your costume.

Human Luna from Sailor Moon
Luna (voiced in Japanese by Keiko Han and in English by Michelle Ruff and Jill Frappier) is one of the main characters in the Sailor Moon anime/manga.
Luna is Sailor Moon’s main companion, guardian, and guide, and is the one that helped her become Sailor Moon in the first place. She is usually in the form of a black cat (sometimes with red eyes, though that varies between the show/movie), but herself, her partner Artemis, and their daughter Diana all have human forms as well.
Her human form has long, cascading black hair, that she wears up in double buns on either side of her head, and vibrant blue eyes. Like the other two, she also has a gold crescent moon in the center of her forehead, between her bangs. Her outfit differs slightly between the original, and Crystal, but at the core it is pretty much the same. She wears a short strappy golden dress, with little triangles of black at the bottom, and little black puffs at the ends where the straps meet the top of the dress. The look is finished off with a pair of black high heels, topped with tiny black pom pom anklets, a pair of dangly moon earrings and a torso length moon pendant, similar to Artemis’.

Worried that the warming weather will make him melt, Karen and Frosty embark on a mission to the North Pole. Through these adventures they find Santa Claus, who has a magical solution to save Frosty. For this costume, you’ll want to replace the red buttons on the winter coat with white ones, and wrap red fabric around the band of the earmuffs, to fully match Karen’s appearance.

While publicly masquerading as the protagonist’s pet cat, he is more so the main guide that the Phantom Thieves have throughout Mementos and the Palaces, as he is way more familiar than they are. His code-name when traveling with the others is ‘Mona’, making him the only one that has a similar sounding code-name to his actual one.
Mona is a black and white cat (sort of), with huge blue eyes. In Mementos, he wears a yellow bandana, black eye mask, and a gold detailed toolbelt with side pouches for carrying necessary items for fighting.
