Shipwreck from GI Joe
In GI Joe, Shipwreck (voiced by Neil Ross) is a member of the Joe team. Real name Hector X. Delgado, he grew up near the San Diego Navy Yards and enlisted in the navy at age 16. Accompanied by his loyal parrot Polly, he now serves on the Joe Team where he goes by the simple motto “See the target, shoot the target”. His design is said to be inspired by Jack Nicholson’s character from The Last Detail.
Simon from Alvin and the Chipmunks
Alvin and the Chipmunks is a popular children’s film from 2007 that follows three musical chipmunks named Alvin, Simon, and Theodore who find a new home in Dave’s house, a singer songwriter that helps them gain popularity and show off their talents to the world.
To dress like Simon, wear a blue hoodie, a headband with ears, a chipmunk fuzzy tail, and black round frame glasses. For pants and shoes, anything goes but khaki shorts or pants might fit best.
Korean Olympic Sharpshooter
In the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, Korean sharpshooter Kim Ye-ji went viral for her futuristic steampunk/cyberpunk shooting glasses and ice-cold demeanor — in sharp contrast to the cuddly Turkish sharpshooter. But she wasn’t all business — she held her daughter’s small elephant plush in her left hand as she took home a silver medal for South Korean in the 10-meter air pistol women’s event.
Abigail
Abigail is the horrifying character in the new horror film called Abigail, and is played by Alisha Weir. The film tells the story of criminals that kidnap a young ballerina to try and obtain ransom money from her father. Over time they begin to discover there is something scary to this girl they are locked in with.
Abigail would make an awesome Halloween costume for girls and teens. To recreate this, wear a white leotard and white tights at the base. Over this wear a lace top (which you can crop by simply cutting it at the length you want), and a white tutu. Pair this with a white feather hair piece and glitter sneakers. To recreate the blood on her costume, stick to one side and the shape similar to the picture by slowly mixing and layering red, black, and brown fabric paint. Use paper towels or gloves (or your hands) to make it look more natural and realistic. Add this to the skirt, shirt, and some on the tights. Also add red face paint to the face and wear fake sharp teeth.
Turkish Olympic Sharpshooter
In the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, Turkish sharpshooter Yusuf Dikeç went viral for his no frills setup and relaxed posture reminiscent of the average dad — or perhaps a hitman in disguise. No earplugs, no high-tech goggles, just a hand in his pocket was enough to win him a silver medal at the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event. To go bare minimum on your costume, as Yusuf himself probably would do, all you need are black glasses, a white Turkiye shirt, and an air pistol. Add the salt-and-pepper wig or a green Nacar dive watch for the extra touch.
Phoebe from Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Phoebe is a character from the new Ghostbsuters film, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and is played by McKenna Grace. The film follows The Spengler family as they return to New York City, specifically the iconic firehouse we know from the original Ghostbusters. An ancient artifact is found and releases an evil force that brings on a second ice age, but both the new and old Ghostbusters are there to stop it together.
To dress like McKenna in her regular/ casual clothing, wear things like a black and white plaid coat or jacket or a red button down short sleeve shirt with denim shorts and combat boots. For her classic Ghostbusters uniform, wear khaki coveralls and add on a Ghostbusters patch on the arm, a custom name tag on the front, a khaki belt, and elbow pads.
Claire from The Bear
Claire is a character from the TV drama series, The Bear, and is played by Molly Gordon. Claire is the love interest of Carmen, the protagonist of the show. It follows his story as he tries to restore a Chicago restaurant after the death of his brother.
Claire’s style can be recreated for everyday life or even a duo or group costume with other characters from The Bear. One of her casual looks features an oversized denim jacket and a loose-fitting white henley shirt. Another and more recognizable dressy one is at the opening of the restaurant. For this, wear a black mini a-line dress, black printed tights, and a black floral lace cardigan.
Pence from Kingdom Hearts 3
This article will be covering Pence’s outfit in Kingdom Hearts 3, if you would like to see his earlier iterations, please check out my first article here! His English voice actor changed in KH3 to Tristan Chase, but in Japanese he is still voiced by Hayato Taya.
Pence’s hair and eyes remain unchanged (both in dark and light brown as before), but his headband is a solid black instead of two toned. He wears a long, 3/4 sleeved shirt in black and white, with a similar DogStreet logo to his old shirt, with a striped sunset-toned bandana around his neck. His pants are long, plain black ones, and he wears laceless shoes in a similar color scheme to the rest of his outfit, including the colors from his bandana.
Volo from Baldur’s Gate 3
Volo is a character in Baldur’s Gate 3. He is a Human Wizard who appears in Act 1 of the game at the Sacred Pool, where he tries to interview a bear. If you speak with him, he then tries to interview you – though he won’t agree with your retelling entirely. See, he’s best known for his wildly inaccurate and exaggerated guidebooks. The player can allow Volo to join their camp. While there, he’ll make quite the gory attempt to remove the Mind Flayer tadpole from your eye. But he gives you an enchanted eye in compensation, which grants Volo’s Ersatz Eye as a permanent buff.
Bryce from The Real Bros of Simi Valley
Bryce is one of the four main characters in The Real Bros of Simi Valley. Created by comedian and actor Jimmy Tatro, the series debuted on YouTube and moved to Facebook Watch, with a movie now streaming on Roku. Bryce used to be a professional skateboarder, and similarly to the other bros, peaked in high school. However, a knee injury cut his career short, so he began “coaching” kids at the local skatepark. In the movie, Bryce picks up a career in teaching after returning to finish high school. Arrogant and profane, Bryce is the eldest of the bros, but that certainly doesn’t mean he’s the brightest. Getter, an American DJ, portrays Bryce. This is a guide for his outfit in the meme where he tries to fight baby Hawk, though any sort of skater style and tattoos achieves the look.
