The Editor from The Rat Catcher

The Editor is a character in the new short film by Wes Anderson: The Rat Catcher, and is played by Richard Ayoade. Wes Anderson has released a series of four short films on Netflix that are based on the stories of Roald Dahl. The Rat Catcher is about an English Village where an editor/reporter and a mechanic named Claud listen to a rat catcher as he outlines his plan to catch a rat.

The Editor wears a classic and simple outfit that includes brown tweed trousers, a deep brown belt, white button down shirt, a brown tie, and a pair of classic 50s-style glasses.

Princess Saturn from Sailor Moon

In Sailor Moon, Saturn looks as she usually does in the series in this illustration, but has the symbol of saturn on her forehead instead of her usual tiara, a deep purple ribbon around her neck, and a matching teardrop necklace.

She is one of two scouts in this set that wear a pair of long gloves to match her dress, the other being Pluto, and her dress, despite being dark purple instead, is styled very similarly as well. She only has one strap on either side of her dress top, but has a pointed midsection on the bodice, and like the other outer scouts, it is open on the sides of the skirt to reveal a lighter purple underskirt that flares out to the ground.

Helena Shaw from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Helena Shaw is the female lead in the new 2023 film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and is played by Phoebe Waller Bridge. This film is a continuation of the original Indiana Jones films and is the fifth and final installment of the series. This one follows Indiana Jones, a daring archaeologist as he races to retrieve a dial that could change the course of history, alongside Helena Shaw.

Helena Shaw has a very fashionable wardrobe with lots of reds. One featured is a beautiful and classic silk red button down blouse with a tie front. Another is a very fun and stylish layered look that includes a red velvet jacket, a green button down shirt, and a brown striped scarf. Finally we get to see her in the iconic adventurer-style costume that is a white button down shirt and khaki linen pants.

Kitty from Living Dead Dolls

Kitty is from the second series of Living Dead Dolls, and is also semi-school themed like the Sadie in this set. Her inspiration is from the movie ‘Satan’s Cheerleaders’.

She has bright red eyes, black lipstick, and black hair worn in side pigtails tied in red ribbons. The cheerleader outfit consists of a red polo shirt with a black sweater over top, and a matching red and black split color pleated skirt. The look is finished off by white cuffed socks, black and red glossy shoes, and black and red pom poms.

Sybil from Living Dead Dolls

Sybil is from the fourth series of Living Dead Dolls, and her name is taken from the pseudonym used for Shirley Mason.

She has extremely messy flyaway black hair almost styled into a bob, black and grey shadowed swirly eyes, and green drips coming off of her mouth. Her outfit consists of a cream colored straight jacket with leathery buckle straps, a collar chain, and black pants to finish it off.

The Beatles from “I Feel Fine”

I Feel Fine is a music video and song by The Beatles from 1965. This song was released on the Capitol album Beatles ‘65. This silly music video is in black and white and features all 4 members Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They each dress similarly with some unique elements to their outfit. George wears a brown turtleneck sweater, black dress pants, and black shoes. You can replace the brown sweater with gray if you’d like to keep the black and white look of the music video itself when doing a group costume. Paul and Ringo wear the same outfit: a black turtleneck, black dress pants, and black shoes. And finally, John wears a black turtleneck, black blazer, gray pants, and black shoes.

Otto Anderson from A Man Called Otto

Otto Anderson is from new the film A Man Called Otto and is played by Tom Hanks. The film follows Otto, a grumpy widower who finds hope in life after meeting his match that moves in next door and they begin an unlikely friendship.

Otto wears an all-blue costume that features a warm blue windbreaker coat, a teal textured sweater, blue button shirt and gray pants. Make it the perfect costume by adding a cat stuffed-animal like his own.

Wendy Darling from Peter Pan and Wendy

Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson) is a character from the new Disney film, Peter Pan & Wendy. This film follows the classic story of Peter Pan about a young girl who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Wendy and her brothers travel to Neverland with Peter where she encounters the evil Captain Hook.

Wendy’s costume is one that is reminiscent of previous versions but also is a unique take on the costume. She wears a vintage style teal quilted robe with a pirate-inspired white pajamas. This can be recreated with a teal coat or sweater, a white blouse, and cropped pants. She also wears brown boots. Add a prop pirate sword to add to the look!

Sin from Living Dead Dolls

Sin is one of the dolls in the first series of Living Dead Dolls, and very similar in appearance to the main mascot doll, Sadie.

She has long black hair with little devil horns peeking out of the top of her head, red lipstick, and white eyes bordered in a red sclera. Her dress is also a Wednesday Addams style dress, but in bright red instead of black, and she also wears white cuffed socks with black t-strap Mary Janes. To tie together the rest of the devil look, she also has a thin tail, as well as a pitchfork.

Indiana Jones from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

This film is a continuation of the original Indiana Jones films and is the fifth and final installment of the series. Indiana Jones in this film dresses very close to the original costumes in the first films, with some slight changed to the color palette and some details. He wears his iconic brown hat, brown leather/suede jacket, a brown button down shirt, brown-gray pants, a prop whip, and a green and brown messenger bag. This would be the perfect costume for an older Indy!
