Dr. D. Light from It’s Not Me, It’s My Basement

Dr. D. Light is a character from the horror game It’s Not Me, It’s My Basement.  Dr. D. Light tries to help Embry, who has told their friends and neighbors that their parents are very ill.  What he comes to discover, however, is a much darker secret involving a monster in Embry’s basement.  Dr. D. Light’s appearance is based heavily on those of a medieval plague doctor.  The simplest way to recreate his look is to purchase a plague doctor costume set, which will come with a hat, hood, gloves, and a long jacket with a cowl.  Replace the plague mask with a round white mask. With a little paint, some markers, and a dose of creativity, you can alter the mask to look more like the one from the game.  Lastly, use a sun-shaped charm and jewelry cord to make the Doctor’s necklace.

Yuki Sohma from Fruits Basket

Yuki (voiced in Japanese by Nobunaga Shimazaki and in English by Eric Vale) is one of the primary main characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

Out of the cursed zodiacs of the Sohma family, Yuki holds the power of the Rat. He lives with Kyo and Shigure at the start, as well as Tohru when she ends up moving in. Yuki starts off the series being very distant and has a lot of self-esteem issues, despite being regarded as a popular, princely icon at his school, but grows to be more open around the people he cares about.

He has short, silvery hair worn with two long side bangs, and grey eyes. Like Kyo, he’s often seen wearing their school’s uniform, consisting of a set of dark blue slacks and a matching shirt, a light grey tie, and dark brown loafers.

Kyutaro Kugi from Buddy Daddies

Kyutaro (voiced in Japanese by Toshiyuki Morikawa and in English by Austin Tindle) is one of the secondary main characters in the anime Buddy Daddies.

He owns and operates a pub as a cover for being the go-between for assassins and their hits, and is the one that provides Kazuki and Rei with their jobs.

Kyutaro has a fairly unassuming appearance, with brown eyes and light mousey brown hair (the wig may need a bit of down-styling), and wears brown rectangle framed glasses. His usual outfit we see him in is his work outfit, consisting of a black button up shirt with rolled sleeves, khaki slacks, a brown kitchen apron, and greyish brown oxfords.

big jack horner from puss in boots the last wish

Big Jack Horner from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

Big Jack Horner (voice by John Mulaney) is the primary antagonist of the animated film Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.  Formerly Little Jack Horner, he is a crime lord and pastry chef with a grudge, intent on harvesting all the world’s magic.  Big Jack Horner has short pink hair and wears a purple overcoat and vest, as well as a pink tie.  He finishes his outfit with brown pants and black boots.  Jack has a stain on his right thumb from pushing it into pies.  You can recreate this effect with some lip stain to tinge your thumb a berry color.

Momiji Sohma from Fruits Basket

Momiji (voiced in Japanese by Megumi Han and in English by Mikaela Krantz) is one of the secondary main characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

He is the rabbit out of the Sohma family zodiacs, and is often mistaken for being much younger than he is, despite being only a year younger than Tohru. Momiji is usually seen as a very cheerful person, but he, like a lot of the other Sohmas, has a rough family history.

He has short, fluffy blonde hair, golden brown eyes, and wears small stud earrings as an accessory. Momiji is also usually seen in the school uniform, but he chooses to wear the girl’s shirt portion, and a pair of black shorts, instead of the boy’s. He also wears a pair of white knee high socks, and light brown loafers.

Beam from Chainsaw Man

Beam is a character in the best selling manga and hit anime, Chainsaw Man. Illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the series was serialized in Shonen Jump for two years with new chapters bi-weekly. Chainsaw Man takes place in a world where devils are born from fears. Like Power, Beam is a fiend, specifically the Shark Fiend. Energetic yet naive, Beam is unwaveringly loyal to Denji/Chainsaw Man. He goes along with Denji’s plans and will do anything to protect him. Talk about an amazing friend! He usually is depicted without a shirt, but this guide includes a fitting shark pattern button down.

Shigure Sohma from Fruits Basket

Shigure (voiced in Japanese by Yuichi Nakamura and in English by John Murgmeier) is one of the main characters of the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

He is one of the older members of the cursed zodiacs of the Sohma family, and is specifically the dog. He works as a writer, publishing both novels under his name, and romance novels under a pen name. Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki all live in the house that he owns, and he shares the same drive to break the curse as Tohru does, but for slightly selfish reasons.

Shigure has short, grey hair, parted in the center, and similarly colored eyes. Unlike the others, he usually dresses in more traditional clothing, often shown in a dark green kimono with a lighter colored obi. When wearing this, he usually isn’t shown wearing shoes, but he does have traditional sandals in a similar one, so if you need footwear for con, I’ve included them for ease.
