Pearl Krabs from the SpongeBob Musical
Pearl Krabs is a character in SpongeBob Squarepants: The Broadway Musical. A stage adaptation of the Nickelodeon cartoon, the show premiered on Broadway at the Palace Theater in 2017. Pearl is the high-spirited yet overdramatic teenage daughter of Mr. Krabs. In the musical, she wants to become a rock band singer, not manager of the Krusty Krab like her father hopes. Jai’len Christine Li Josey portrayed Pearl in the Broadway production. You can stick with a cheerleader uniform, which is what her costume is based on, or go more accurate to the musical with a light pink tennis dress and iron on a “P” varsity letter. For added accuracy, use the black fabric paint to create the stripes on her jacket.
Uzi from Murder Drones
Uzi Doorman (voiced by Elsie Lovelock) is the protagonist and anti-heroine of the web series Murder Drones. Uzi is a Worker Drone who befriends Serial Designation N. They work together to stop Serial Designation J from eradicating the Worker Drones. Uzi has purple hair and wears a black striped beanie, purple striped socks, and black boots. Her primary clothing consists of a black hoodie with a battery and crossbones on it. You can recreate your own with a long hoodie and some fabric paint, or purchase a replica sweatshirt to pair with your robot bodysuit.
Yukako Yamagishi
Yukako Yamagishi is a side character in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. She is a resident of Morioh who attends school with the main characters. She becomes infatuated with Koichi Hirose. She attempts to kidnap him and threaten him with her Stand, Love Deluxe. With this Stand, she can wield her long, flowing hair as a weapon. Although Yukako realizes the error of her ways, she still loves Koichi. She goes to the Cinderella salon to get a makeover to impress him. When it goes wrong, Koichi comes to her defense, and the two become a couple for real.
Kaoru Matsubara from Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z
Kaoru Matsubara (voiced by Machiko Kawana and Kelly Metzger) is a member of the titular crime-fighting group in Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z. Karoru is athletic and popular, but often feels disconnected from her friends Momoko and Miyako because of her lack of interest in typically girly things including clothes and love stories. Kaoru’s color palette consists of green and yellow, and her alter ego Powered Buttercup wears a green dress, green shoes, and a yellow vest. To recreate her look, you can cut the sleeves off a letterman jacket and add your own letter “P.” You can also use navy blue and green fabric paint to add details to the dress and alter the white parts of the jacket to green, though you’ll still be recognizable even if you don’t feel like busting out a paintbrush.
Alice Liddell from Heart no Kuni no Alice
Alice (voiced in the movie by Kugimiya Rie) is the main playable character/protagonist of the Heart no Kuni no Alice/Alice in the Country of Hearts dating game series/movie.
As it is an Alice in Wonderland-inspired series, she is very much the typical Alice design, but is a much more dynamic character, and is an actual developed character unlike a lot of faceless dating game protagonists.
Alice has muted golden blonde hair, worn almost in a hime-cut, and blue eyes to match the rest of the blue in her outfit. She has a blue and gold hairbow, a blue wristband, a gold detailed Alice-like dress with a white collar, that she wears a lacy white apron over, with blue and white knee-high stockings, and red maryjanes with overlapping ballet laces.
Amber Freeman from Scream (2022)
Amber Freeman (Mikey Madison) is an antagonist in the fifth Scream film, Scream (2022). The film takes place 25 years after the original Ghostface murders committed by Billy Loomis and Stu Macher. Now there’s a new generation of teenagers for a new Ghostface to target. Amber is a friend of the protagonist, Samantha Carpenter, but spoiler – she’s revealed as the Ghostface killer, along with her accomplice, Richie. Since Billy Loomis is Samantha’s father, the two antagonists plan to also target the legacy characters. Though in the end, with the help of former characters Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers, Samantha takes Amber and Richie down.
Manami Aiba/La Brava from My Hero Academia
La Brava (voiced in Japanese by Yui Horie and in English by Megan Shipman) is one of the secondary antagonists in the My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia series.
She is a powerful hacker and loves Gentle Criminal, which leads to her being his main camerawoman, helping him create a larger online presence so that he’ll be more known as Gentle. Her quirk is love based, which she uses as a booster in fights, to give him a stronger advantage.
La Brava has very long red hair, worn up in two thick pigtails, and has light pink spiral eyes, which match the heart dangle earrings she wears. She wears a matching set of a long dark blue-ish purple top and leggings, the top decorated with pink buttons, with a large white bow worn around her neck, matching gloves with wide cuffs and pink detailing, poofy white striped pants with a heart cutout, a light brown waist corset with pink heart clasps, and black chunky heeled boots.
Miyako Gotokuji from Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z
Miyako Gotokuji (voiced by Nami Miyahara and Marÿke Hendrikse) is one-third of the Powerpuff Girls in Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z. Miyako is popular at school, often the object of affection for boys in her grade. She is friends with Momoko and Kaoru, who fight alongside her heroine alter-ego Rolling Bubbles. Miyako’s crime-fighting costume consists of shades of blue. You can recreate her look with a blue pleated dress and matching high tops paired with a letterman jacket you’ll need to cut the sleeves off. Her accessories include a choker necklace, fingerless gloves, and a white belt. You can add darker accents to her clothing with a fabric marker and use an iron on patch to add the letter “P” to her jacket.
Emerald Haywood from Nope
Emerald Haywood is from the movie Nope by Jordan Peele, and is played by Keke Palmer. Emerald is the sister of OJ Haywood. They both run the company Haywood’s Hollywood Horses.Â
Emerald has a very fun and unique style in all of her costumes. She wears lots of cool vintage pieces like graphic tees, cowboy boots, and is not afraid of bright pops of colors. She stands out beside her brother OJ and this shows her outgoing personality in comparison to him.
Rosita from Sing
Rosita (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) is part of the ensemble cast of Sing, an animated film that takes place in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. A weary mother of many children, Rosita decides to try out for a singing competition organized by koala Buster Moon. She is chosen for the event, but Buster thinks her act needs a little more pizzazz, so he teams her up with enthusiastic performer Gunter. Though hesitant at first, Rosita learns to enjoy the spotlight and shines during her performance of Taylor Swift‘s Shake It Off. To recreate Rosita’s stage look, you’ll need to love all things black and glittery. Start with a long-sleeved bodysuit and black pumps, then layer a fluffy skirt over top. You’ll also need a balaclava and you can choose to add a pig nose and glittery cat ears to imitate her animal appearance in the film. Use a pair of scissors to cut the balaclava and skirt to more closely match her costume from the movie.
