She ran away from home at seven and traveled with Luke and Thalia. Grover also escorted her to Camp Half Blood. She meets Percy at camp and recruits him for Capture the Flag, using him as a distraction to win the game. Luke describes her as “six steps ahead of everyone else,” a nod to her infallible intelligence and strategy. Her major ambition is to go on a quest, and she joins Percy and Grover to find Zeus’ master bolt. Her signature accessory is her Yankees cap, a gift from her mother, which renders the wearer invisible.
