Grey DeLisle
Major Dr. Ghastly from Evil Con Carne
Major Dr. Ghastly (voiced by Grey DeLisle) is a main protagonist in the Cartoon Network series Evil Con Carne. Originally paired with The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, the show followed Hector Con Carne, Major Dr. Ghastly’s husband, as he tried to conquer the world despite being reduced to only a brain and stomach attached to a large bear. Ghastly is taller than General Skarr, who also works with Hector. For your costume, you’ll need a sleeveless burgundy bodysuit to start. Layer black gloves, black thigh-high boots, and a black belt over that. You’ll also need a pair of goggles and a red wig long enough to style in a low bun. Finish your look with some red lipstick.
Vicki Vale from Arkham City
Vicki Vale (voiced by Grey DeLisle) is an investigative reporter who appears in many different Batman iterations. In Arkham City, Vicki works for the Gotham City Gazette and becomes particularly interested in investigating the opening of the titular prison city, believing it poses a serious threat to the citizens of Gotham. Vicki has pale blonde hair that she wears cut in a bob. Much of her costume is black, including a black trench coat, black gloves, black boots, and black stockings. A splash of color comes in the form of her burgundy turtleneck peeking out from beneath her coat.
Sam Manson’s School Dance Outfit from Danny Phantom
Sam Manson (voiced by Grey DeLisle) is the best friend and eventual girlfriend of Danny Fenton on the Nickelodeon animated show Danny Phantom. Sam is a self-proclaimed goth and ultra-recyclo-vegetarian obsessed with the macabre. As such, her usual attire is very edgy. When she attends a school dance, however, she manages to look the part without giving up her signature goth look. To recreate her dance outfit, you’ll need to get a little creative with layering different pieces. Start with a tube top in a purple hue and then add a fishnet long-sleeved shirt over it before putting on your black corset. You may have to be willing to sacrifice parts of the mesh in order to cut the fishnet shirt to fit under your corset so it doesn’t stick out. You’ll finish the look with a purple skirt, which you can add glitter to if you’d like, a black wig, and purple makeup.
Monster Girl from Invincible
Monster Girl is a character in the comic book and animated series, Invincible. She’s hand-picked by Robot to be part of the new Guardians of the Globe. Her ability is monstrous transformation, giving her incredible brute strength. However, this power is a curse; every time she uses it, she becomes a year younger. After Rex teases her appearance, she transforms into a giant green monster and rightfully beats him up. We discover Robot has been closely studying her physiology. Grey DeLisle voices Monster Girl (and Azula in Avatar: The Last Airbender!) in the show now streaming on Amazon Prime. Brush out the bangs for the ponytail wig and trim them just above your eyebrows. You can skip the wig if you have brown hair and bangs already.
Kitty Katswell from T.U.F.F Puppy
Kitty might be the number one agent in the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force but that doesn’t mean her job is a breeze. Especially not when she has a partner like Dudley. They mange to make it work though, thanks in no small part to Kitty’s extensive training, determined attitude, and wide range of skills.
