Jillian Holtzmann (played by Kate McKinnon) is the quintessential mad scientist type. If there is trouble to get in – as long as it’s scientific – Holtzmann is there. Whether it’s ghosts, laser technology, or nuclear theories, Jillian Holtzmann is up for it. It puts her in the line of fire more often than not. But if it keeps her friends safe, that’s where she wants to be.

For any Ghostbusters costume you’re going to need a few things: a tan jumpsuit, a Ghostbusters patch, a name tag, and a proton pack. You can go for a more screen-accurate pack (top) or an inflatable one that is more affordable (bottom). You will also want a pair of sturdy boots that you can run it but also walk over debris in. After all, those proton packs do some serious damage and not just to ghosts.

When cosplaying Jillian specifically you’ll want a long blonde wig you can style after her hair. You’ll also want two pair of yellow-lensed protective goggles and a green protective gloves. Finally you will need reflective safety tape and fabric glue to keep it in place.

Doctor Edward Richtofen (voiced by Nolan North) is a recurring character in the Call of Duty series. He is an evil Nazi scientist who invented the wonder weapon DG-2 and loved to torture his victims. One of the key creators of the Nazi Zombies, he finds himself forced to kill his own creations.

In Wonder Woman, Doctor Poison (Elena Anaya) is the nickname of Isabel Maru, a deranged Spanish chemist who concocts poisons to cause people as much pain as possible. Due to a facial disfigurement, likely from an accident during her experimentation, Doctor Poison wears a ceramic mask on the left side of her face.

In Dexter’s Laboratory, Dexter is a boy genius who runs a secret laboratory. There he invents countless machines and conducts weird experiments, though his sister Dee Dee is always breaking in and destroying his work. His idol is Albert Einstein, and he speaks with a Russian accent, which is odd because the rest of his family has no such accent.

In the DC Universe, Professor Hugo Strange is one of the earliest supervillains to face off against Batman, preceding Catwoman and even the Joker. He applies his psychology background and medical expertise to hatch plots to take down the Dark Knight.

In the Venture Bros., Dr. Thaddeus “Rusty” Venture works in the field of super science. He’s constantly under the shadow of his famous father, who founded Venture Industries, but often cuts corners trying to make his own name.

In Rick and Morty, Rick Sanchez is a genius scientist who splits his time between domestic squabbles and intergalactic time travel, bringing his distressed grandson Morty along for the ride.

In Archer, Algernop Krieger (voiced by Lucky Yates) goes by the title of Doctor at ISIS, though technically not a medical doctor nor “the other kind”. He’s one of the Boys of Brazil and a genetic clone of Adolf Hitler, though he dons a beard instead of the infamous mustache.
