netflix animation
Akira Fudo from Devilman Crybaby
Akira Fudo (voiced by Koki Uchiyama in Japanese, and Griffin Burns in English) is one of the central main characters of the Netflix adaption of Devilman Crybaby, along with Ryo Asuka.
He starts the series off in a completely different form than this one, originally quite small and meek, but it’s this taller and more brazen form that he spends most of the series in, after going with Ryo to a club that leads to quite a transformative experience.
In this form, Akira has noticeably sharper features, his hair is darker and way more spikey and messy, and his eyes look like they’re constantly lined.
He typically wears a grey or black shirt, usually with a black zip up bikers jacket over top, black skinny jeans, and blue shoes with lighter blue laces.
Julia Argent from Carmen Sandiego
Julia Argent (voiced by Charlet Chung) is one of the key characters in the Netflix version of Carmen Sandiego.
She is an A.C.M.E. agent that was formerly part of Interpol, and one of the few people in her team from the beginning that believed that Carmen wasn’t the threat that the rest made her out to be, which lead to her helping Carmen’s team in future.
Julia is lightly freckled, with dark eyes and very short blackish-blue hair. Her main outfit she’s seen in during the series is a blue pantsuit set, a reddish orange shirt underneath, a pendant necklace, stud earrings, circular framed glasses, and chocolate brown loafers.
Ryo Asuka from Devilman Crybaby
Ryo Asuka (voiced in Japanese by Ayumu Murase and in English by Kyle McCarley) is one of the main characters, as well as the primary antagonist later on in the series, of the Netflix adaption of Devilman Crybaby, along with Akira Fudo.
Ryo has been Akira’s best friend since they were children, but has always been different, in ways that are revealed later on in the show. He seems to care deeply for Akira, but is also highly manipulative to get results he wants to see, as well as causing catastrophic events for humanity as a whole.
In a slight departure from how he looks in other Devilman iterations, Ryo has much shorter hair than his other counterparts, while still being blonde with blue eyes. The main outfit we see him in during this series is a white, short sleeved button up shirt with a bulky, puffy looking long white coat over top, with matching white pants and shoes.
Rayla from The Dragon Prince
Rayla is a character in the Netflix animated series, The Dragon Prince. She is a teenage Moonshadow Elf assassin who allies with Callum and Ezran. The three of them must deliver the Dragon Prince back to his mother. Eventually, Rayla and Callum pursue a romantic relationship. Her exceptional weapon skills make her a known prodigy. You can follow this DIY guide or purchase the ready made costume.
Mime Bomb from Carmen Sandiego
Mime Bomb is one of the agents of V.I.L.E in the Netflix adaptation of Carmen Sandiego (2019).
He is one of Carmen’s former classmates, but ultimately followed in the path the school was teaching and became a criminal mime. We don’t know very much about him aside from the little we see in the show, but he’s often sent on stealth missions as he’s quiet and well adept at becoming part of a scene to gather information.
Mime Bomb has light greyish-blue eyes, wavy auburn hair tucked behind his ears, white face paint with a light red lip and emphasized black brows and heavy black eyeliner, and his outfit consists of a grey multi-toned striped turtleneck, black skinny pants, black flat shoes, white gloves, and a black beret.
Brooklynn from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous
Brooklynn (voiced by Jenna Ortega) is one of the main characters in the Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Brooklynn is a social media influencer who wins tickets to preview the titular Camp Cretacesou and spends much of her time interviewing her fellow campers for her page until the dinosaurs begin escaping and she and her fellow campers, including Yasmina Fadoula must focus on survival instead. Brooklyn has pink hair that matches her bomber jacket and wears a red tank top, black bracelet, skinny jeans, and white shoes.
Yasmina Fadoula from Jurassic Park: Camp Cretaceous
Yasmina Fadoula (voiced by Kausar Mohammed) is a main character in the Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Along with fellow campers like Brooklynn, Yasmina must navigate the island of Isla Nubar after the escape of several dinosaur species from their containment. Yasmina is a dedicated track athlete with multiple medals who was sponsored by the Jurassic World theme park. She has long brown hair worn in a ponytail and dresses in athletic wear in a purple and grey palette, including a track jacket and sneakers. To create the look of her multi-colored shorts, you can layer a light purple tank top under your jacket and then wear light grey shorts with a longer inseam under a darker pair.
Jim Lake Jr. from Trollhunters
Jim Lake, Jr. (voiced by Anton Yelchin and Emile Hirsch) is the main character of the Netflix film Trollhunters. Jim is the first human Trollhunter and is the wielder of Excalibur. It takes some time for Jim to work up the courage to tell his friend Claire about his crush on her, but eventually, it works and the two end up dating. In his human form, Jim wears slim fit jeans, high top sneakers, and a blue jacket with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows. While using the Amulet of Daylight, Jim sports a full suit of armor.
Stu from Harvey Girls Forever!
Stu (voiced by Nat Faxon) is a character on the animated Netflix series Harvey Girls Forever! Stu is the only male member of the Fighting Bananas Cheer Squad and a friend of Audrey. Stu’s costume consists of his cheer uniform as well as mint-framed sunglasses and dark greenish-blue hair. You may need to get a little creative to recreate Stu’s cheer sweatshirt. You can focus on the chevron print or take a DIY approach and spruce up a plain white track jacket with some fabric paint. Use a banana decal or patch to try and match the Fighting Banana mascot on Stu’s original uniform.
Vi from Arcane
Vi (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) is the older sister of Jinx in the Arcane TV series. Vi is a Zaunite vigilante who wields a pair of powerful gauntlets. Vi’s costuming includes sturdy boots, striped trousers, and a red cropped jacket. You can use an eyeliner pencil to add the “VI” tattoo on her left cheek. Options exist for you to either purchase a cosplay costume set or create your own by mixing and matching different pieces, depending on your preference. Finding a pair of replica gauntlets can get costly. While there are also plans available for purchase if have access to a 3D printer, you can also achieve a similar (and more functional) look with a pair of metal gauntlets meant for medieval cosplay. A little patience and rust-oleum paint can even add their distinctive blue color.
