Colin Bridgerton from Bridgerton (Season 3)

Colin Bridgerton is a character we focus on mostly in this new third season, and is played by Luke Newton. Colin is a character we see throughout the season and someone we’re familiar with, but this season he becomes the main love interest of Penelope Featherington. Colin comes back this season with a new cool attitude and style.

To dress like Colin this season, wear a brown coat layered over a navy tailcoat, blue ruffle-collar shirt, gray printed vest, navy trousers, and brown riding boots.

Penelope Featherington from Bridgerton (Emerald Dress)

Penelope Featherington is the main character in this new third season of Bridgerton, and is played by Nicola Coughlan. Penelope is a character we know from previous seasons, and we also eventually learn a big secret of hers that leads to her being the focus this year.

One iconic look this season, and so far the most iconic is this emerald green dress after a new makeover she undergoes which is a much more mature and also dark look compared to her previous pastels and citrus-y bright dresses. To dress like Penelope in this emerald look, wear a green regency-style dress, black sheer gloves, a rhinestone necklace, and if needed a red wig styled like hers. You can also add embellishments like a flower/ feather hair piece, adding feathers to the shoulders, and green and orange/peach rhinestones to the front of the dress.

Lord Debling from Bridgerton (Season 3)

Lord Debling is a character from the new third season of Bridgerton, and is played by Sam Phillips. Lord Debling is a character we meet while following the true star of this new season, Penelope Featherington. Penelope meets him in the season right in the middle of her falling head-over-heels for Colin Bridgerton, and so far she has gotten to the point of almost marrying Debling. He’s a kind and mature gentlemen who has strong interests in history and reading.

To dress like Lord Debling, wear a black tailcoat, black regency trousers, a white ruffle collar shirt, cream and gold embroidered vest, and tall black boots. Another look of his during the day and outdoors features a gray wool coat and deep brown or black top hat.

Anthony Bridgerton

Anthony is from the popular regency drama series Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey. He is in both seasons of the show, and is one of the two main characters in the second season, playing the love interest of Kate Sharma.

Anthony is the eldest son and Viscount of the Bridgerton family. He wears Regency-Era costumes that feature double-breasted vests, tailcoats, white shirts, caravats, and the occasional top hat. The colors he wears are lots of blues and purples, that complement Kate’s perfectly on screen.

Daphne Bridgerton from Bridgerton

Daphne Bridgerton from Bridgerton

Prim and proper, Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor) has spent her life preparing for her debut. With a sterling reputation and a loving family, she seems destined to be the toast of the season. Until that loving family steps in, that is. Thankfully the Duke of Hastings steps in to save the day.

Daphne’s gowns are all handcrafted for her taste and style. You can get close, however, with a simple white empire-waist gown and a matching hair ribbon. Rhinestone studded slippers, white gloves, and a ‘diamond’ bracelet make for lovely accessories while YouTube tutorials can help you style a strawberry blonde wig into a look suitable for the ton.

She becomes Emma Woodhouse’s closest friend in both the book and film versions of Jane Austen’s Emma. Harriet is a naive young girl who is easily swayed by Emma and her preferences. Harriet can often be found wearing a red cape, which is part of her boarding school uniform.

Mr. George Knightley from Emma

Mr. Knightley (played by Johnny Flynn in the newest film adaptation) is Emma Woodhouse’s closest confidant in Jane Austen’s Emma. George is kind and intelligent, with the wit necessary to match Emma, but much more maturity at his disposal. Mr. Knightley’s dress is typical of the regency era in which Jane Austen’s novels are mostly set.

Emma Woodhouse from Emma

Emma Woodhouse (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) may be handsome, clever, and rich, but she can also be a bit naive and spoiled in the latest adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel. Throughout the film, Emma wears an array of colorful and intricate period costumes, providing ample opportunity to explore the regency era and create an outfit with colors and textures that speak to you.
