Jason Voorhees (Part 3)
Following Friday the 13th Part 2’s events, the next day on Saturday the 14th, 1984, Jason Voorhees having survived Ginny’s machete attack escaped from his makeshift shack. Nearby, he found a lakeside store with owned by a man named Harold and his wife Edna, and entered looking for new clothing. While inside, he murdered the old couple by slamming a meat cleaver into Harold’s chest, and stabbing a sewing needle into the back of Edna’s neck. With the couple dead, Jason stole a dark-green worker shirt with a white under-shirt, silvery-grey cargo work pants, and black boots. A short time after Jason fled the scene, he found the uninhabited lakefront property Higgins Haven where he would take refuge inside the nearby barn to nurse his wounds. Some time later, the owner Chris Higgins had returned to the property with her boyfriend Rick, and her friends, Vera, Shelly, two stoners named Chuck and Chili, and Debbie who is pregnant with her boyfriend Andy, to spend the weekend. Following them was a frightening homeless, religious zealot named Abel who showed them a severed eyeball and warns them to turn back. The group arrives at the ranch not knowing that Jason had holed up in the barn.
Pinhead
Pinhead is main villain and leader of the Cenobites from the Hellraiser film series, based on the book The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker. While there are Pinhead masks for sale, I believe none of them do true justice to the character and that he is best shown through make-up. Listed here are the basic requirements, but for little details and how to actually create Pinhead’s face I highly recommend watching this excellent Pinhead make-up tutorial
Dr. Decker
Dr. Decker is the slasher villain of the cult classic fantasy/horror film Nightbreed (played by legendary horror director David Cronenberg) and the novel Cabal by Clive Barker of Hellraiser and Candyman fame. He is a serial killer psychologist who convinces his patients that they are serial killers before reporting them to the police and having them killed.
Ben Tramer
Ben Tramer is a minor character mentioned in Halloween I and featured in one of the most memorable scenes of Halloween II. He is a young man who gets mistaken for Michael Myers
and as a result gets chased by police and ultimately killed when a police car rams him, causing an explosion.
Leslie Vernon
Leslie Vernon is the focus and antagonist of the cult classic mockumentary comedy-horror Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. He is a wannabe serial killer inspired by the likes of Jason, Michael, and Freddy (who in this world really exist). What he lacks in physical power he makes up for in his cunning planning and setting up of traps for his would-be victims. Don’t forget to wear and tear his clothes. Leslie Vernon walks barefoot, so it’s recommended that you wear sandals when not posing for pictures. Black face paint for the black circles around his eyes.
Alice, Sweet Alice
In Alice, Sweet Alice, a person in a translucent mask and yellow raincoat kills Karen Spages (Brooke Shields) on her day of First Communion. All eyes turn to her older sister Alice (Paula Sheppard), who has a jealous streak and has the same yellow coat.
Leatherface
In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Leatherface is a chainsaw-wielding, psychopathic murder who has a taste for human flesh. He and his inbred family hunt down victims and turn them into practical items like housebuilding materials and meat for BBQ and chili. Probably the scariest thing about Leatherface is that the fact that he was inspired by real life killer Ed Gein, who wore a mask of human skin.
Ghostface from Scream
In the Scream series, Sidney Prescott is the target of Ghostface, a masked murderer who torments her by killing the people around her. The Scream series revived the horror genre in the 90’s by incorporating humor and by its acknowledgment of horror movie cliches.
Michael Myers
In the Halloween slasher films, Michael Myers is a masked killer on the loose, stalking his next teenage victim. Don’t get him confused with Jason Voorhees or Mike Myers, he takes great offense when that happens.
Freddy Krueger
Freddy Krueger may know when you’re sleeping and when you’re awake but he’s no Santa Claus. With biting wit, he manipulates his victim’s dreams making everyone afraid to fall asleep. While Freddy’s powers are not easy to obtain, you can get his look with little effort. The hardest part is the make-up and if you really want to be authentic you can put burn holes in your clothes. That’s really the only way you’ll get away with wearing a Christmas sweater all year.
