1893 Loki from Loki (Season 2)

Loki is the lead character from the popular Marvel series, and is played by Tom Hiddleston. In one episode called 1893 in the new season 2, Loki and Mobius are searching for He Who Remains and find themselves in 1893 at Chicago’s Fair. Their costumes change when entering this time period to match the setting.

Loki wears a deep gray three-piece suit along with a white collared shirt, and a green cravat tie, that still ties in his iconic green color palette. He also wears a bowler hat, a small gold tie pin, and a gold chain on his vest. Make a popcorn holder out of rolled brown paper and a piece of tape, and maybe even yellow torn and crumpled pieces of paper to glue in as the popcorn, to add as a prop. This would make such a fun and unique take on the Mobius and Loki duo costume.

Loki from Loki (Season 2)

Loki is the main character of the popular Marvel series and we continue to follow this god of mischief through the new season 2. Before in season 1, he wears the iconic TVA uniform, but in this season he wears a brown coat, blue collared shirt, a brown knitted tie, brown pants, and brown boots.

While last season he wears a uniform like the other workers and Mobius, this season he becomes more antiquated and independent while maintaining a similar style beside Mobius who still wears his uniform while at the TVA.

TVA Loki

Tom Hiddleston has been in the MCU almost from the beginning and Marvel fans the world over know him best as Loki. Loved by many, hated by some, he can be a divisive character. Tortured and manipulated by Thanos, maligned by most of his adoptive family, and eventually having his character essentially reset after the events of Endgame, Loki is a complex character that fans cannot wait to explore in his new Disney+ series.

The official trailer has already ignited the cosplay urge in some fans. Loki’s active Time Variance Authority (TVA) work clothes are of particular interest and with a little DIY the look is absolutely possible to pull off. Even better, many of the pieces can be used in other cosplays! And fans know that sort of glamour work is right up Loki’s alley.

You’ll want to start with a shoulder length black wig in Loki’s trademark style. For the main body of the costume you will need a brown windbreaker, brown slacks, black shoes, a black leather belt, and a white button down shirt. Loki’s only two obvious accessories are the orange TVA patch on his coat and his striped tie. You can get the patch on Etsy but the tie will take a little bit of DIY.

Start with a base tie in light brown. Use acrylic paint in gold, bronze, and dark brown to add the stripes. Be sure and add the hourglass in gold to one of the dark brown stripes as well. The acrylic will make the tie stiff but it will also stick to the fabric and the color should be more vibrant. Do a test patch on the part of the tie that goes under your collar first, however. If the colors aren’t bright enough, use white paint as a base for the stripes and then paint the colors on top of that.

With your tie done and your patch in place, you’re ready to check out time variants of your own.

Loki

Loki is a recurring antagonist from the Marvel movies and comic books. His persona was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, but he originates from Norse mythology as the god of trickery and mischief. He is the adoptive son of Odin and brother of Thor. In contrast to his brother’s outgoing personality, Loki is reserved, yet he is also sly and deceitful. He usurps power for his personal gain to rule over Earth, driven by spite and jealousy of his father’s favoritism for Thor. He made his cinematic debut in Thor (2011), where he was portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.
