Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea
Samekichi from Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea
Samekichi is one of the main characters in the pixel horror game (and manga adaptation) Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea.
He was the first one to become one of Wada’s familiars and cares for her very deeply, even though he ends up having to try and push her away to keep her safe from his twin brother, Sal. Like the rest of the familiars, he is animal based, with his being a shark. He is able to shift between both the humanoid version, and his shark form at will.
Samekichi has blueish grey shaggy hair, worn partially in his face, and just past his chin, with a notched shark fin sticking out of the top. His eyes are also a deep shaded blue, with a grey overtone to them. His usual outfit consists of a light grey undershirt, with a black jacket with a white fur trim over top, and dark greyish-black pants with his shark tail coming out of the back. It’s finished off with a metal anchor necklace to represent his connection to Wada, a black belt, dark gloves, and black heeled shoes with blue soles.
Idate/Orca from Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea/Ice Scream
Idate is a secondary antagonist (and general nuisance) in the pixel horror game Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, and a more key character in the interactive web-based game Ice Scream, both created by Deep Sea Prisoner/Funamusea.
He is a humanized orca (and does have an animal form), and likes wandering around and bothering other characters in the media he’s in, to the point of violence and harassment. He loves cigarettes and cannibalizing other creatures around him, even if only in parts.
Idate has very fluffy chin length black hair, with a fin sticking up out of the top, and white spots mirroring his orca form along the top of his hair, matching the orca tail coming from his back. His eyes are tiny black dots in large white scleras. His usual outfit is a black blazer and matching slacks, worn over a dark grey button-up shirt, and occasionally tied with a black tie, depending on the art. The outfit is finished off with black gloves, black heeled shoes (though in some shots it looks like he’s wearing slippers), and he’s often, if not always, seen holding a cigarette, as he’s very dependent on them.
Memoca from Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea
Memoca is a secondary main character in the pixel horror game, Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea.
She is part of the group of familiars that follow around the titular character, Wadanohara (a witch), and like the others, has animal traits, with hers being that of a seagull. The form that we mostly see her in is this small, child-like one, even though we don’t know her exact age, and there is artwork of her looking considerably older, along with the rest of her group.
Memoca has very fluffy white hair, worn just below her chin, with a yellow streak running through her bangs, and topped by a little sailor’s hat. She has vibrant orangey-yellow eyes that mimic the color in her hair. The outfit we usually see her in is a white dress with a sailor-type neck piece, and long black-pointed sleeves to imitate wings, with a small white tail visible at the back. She wears tan stockings, and the outfit is finished off by black mary-jane shoes.
Sal from Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea
Sal is the main antagonist of the pixel horror rpgmaker game, Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. [Spoilers below]
He is the ambassador of the Sea of Death, serving under Mikotsuhime, and is obsessed with Wadanohara in a possessive and manipulative way, even to the point of trying to violently steal her from his twin brother, Samekichi. Both of them are sharks, and can shift between both an animal and more humanoid form.
Sal has white, chin length hair, with a shark fin sticking out of the top, and bright red eyes, occasionally ringed in red eyeliner. He wears a mid-toned grey button-up shirt tied with a black tie, and a white coat with dark buttons over top. With the jacket, he wears matching white pants that you can see his shark tail over, and the outfit is finished off with black gloves over sharp fingers, and black heals with red soles.
Wadanohara (Blue Dress)
Wadanohara is the titular character of the 2013 pixel horror game, Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea.
I have previously covered the outfit that she wears at the start of the game here, so for this one, this is focusing on the dress that she wears for the majority of the rest of the game, aside from major story changes that alter that.
Her hair and eyes are the same as the previous look (light brown hime cut with braids and soft grey) but for this one she wears a large blue witch hat, with a tricolored bow attached around it with a large anchor piece over top. The outfit she wears is a blue sailor top with white detailing, an invert of her previous one, and a largely poofy blue skirt underneath, backed with a long-tailed matching ribbon to the hat. Her shoes for this outfit are the same blue as the rest of it, with white banded stripes across the top of the boots.
Wadanohara (Sailor Outfit)
Wadanohara is the titular character of the 2013 pixel horror game, Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea.
She is the daughter of the Great Sorcerer, Meikai, and is a witch herself, living in the sea with her familiars. Throughout the game she ends up having a few different outfits, branching out of different situations, but this is the one you first see her in at the start of the game, when all of them are on a boat ride.
Her eyes are a soft-toned grey, and she has light brown hair, worn in a hime style cut and tied down into two mid-back braids. For this look, she wears a white shirt styled like a classic sailor shirt/school top, with blue accents and a blue ribbon, plus a matching white skirt with a large blue ribbon at the back. Her hat matches this theme, worn slightly offset on her head. The look is finished off with dark black/grey socks, and black Mary Jane shoes.
