Nandor the Relentless (portrayed by Kayvan Novak) is a more than 750-years-old Iranian vampire on the FX show What We Do in the Shadows.  Nandor is the roommate of Laszlo, Nadja, and Colin.  Currently, Guillermo de la Cruz serves at Nandor’s familiar.  Nandor’s costumes are often over-the-top, with beautifully decorated capes and period clothes that harken back to his origins.  Don’t be afraid to go a little over the top for this costume, and if you’re going to splurge, make sure it’s on a cape that will help you get into the vampire spirit.

Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) is a main character in the FX show What We Do In The Shadows, a spinoff of the movie directed by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. Colin is a special type of vampire called an “energy vampire.” Instead of feeding on blood, like the other resident creatures, he feeds on energy. At his office job, he was notorious for annoying his co-workers and boring them with monotonous conversations. In short, he is a constant buzzkill. According to his roommate, Laszlo, he came with the house.

Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) is a main character in the FX show What We Do In The Shadows, a spinoff of the movie directed by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. She is of Romani heritage and is the first lady vampire in the series. After turning Laszlo into a vampire, the two got married, though the couple often bickers. They moved to Staten Island and now live with Colin the energy vampire, as well as Nandor and his familiar Guillermo. Nadja is romantic, as she seeks out her true love, and observant, as she is the first to point out paranormal occurrences. Unlike her roommates, Nadja is capable of using modern technology. Petyr (Ben Fransham) is a main character in What We Do in the Shadows, a horror mockumentary about the lives of four vampires. According to Viago, he is 8000 years old. He resembles Nosferatu, making him the most terrifying out of the group. He sleeps downstairs in a stone coffin, and he hates to be disturbed.  He turned Deacon into a vampire, and in the movie, he turns Nick into a vampire. Petyr prefers remains silent, but he is definitely judging you. Use black eyeshadow around your eyes and on your cheeks for the perfect gaunt look. For added detail, you can use a darker gray or blue to make the veins on his head.

Deacon Bruke is a main character in What We Do in the Shadows, a horror mockumentary about the lives of four vampires. As the youngest of the group, Deacon is rebellious and cares about being cool. His interests include erotic dancing and knitting. One of his iconic moments is his bat fight with Nick. He is played by Jonathan Brugh. You can swap out the pirate shirt for the white tank top if you want to recreate the Deacon Dance.

Vladislav a main character in What We Do in the Shadows, a horror mockumentary about the lives of four vampires. Known as Vladislav the Poker, he was once a tyrant with incredible powers. Vladislav can turn into a cat, but he never gets the face right. He enjoys chaos and taking selfies. Jemaine Clement plays this role, and wrote and directed the movie alongside Takia Waititi, who plays Viago. This is his outfit from the party fight scene, when the other vampires try to eat their human friend, Stu. To make the jacket pop, use silver puff paint to draw the design along the sides.

Viago is a main character in What We Do In The Shadows, a horror mockumentary about the lives of four vampires. His full name is Viago Von Dorna Schmarten Scheden Heimburg (né von Blitzenberg) and he is 379 years old. As suggested by his clothes, he lived in the 18th century. He traveled to New Zealand to find his true love, Katherine. He’s the most endearing vampire in the group, but he can be uptight, especially when it comes to keeping the house clean. Not only did Taika Waititi write and direct the film, but he stars as Viago himself.
