In the animated musical film Yellow Submarine, Paul McCartney travels with his Beatles mates John, George, and Ringo, travel by a yellow submarine with their friend Old Fred to Pepperland.

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club’s Band is the pseudonym of the Beatles on their album of the same name. Released in 1967, the album contains such hits as “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “A Day in the Life.” This era marked the transition of the band’s image from less clean cut and more experimental and avant garde.
