Baki Hanma from Baki the Grappler

Baki Hanma (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki and Troy Baker in the 2018 anime) is the protagonist of Baki the Grappler.  Baki trains as a fighter so he can surpass and defeat his father Yuujiro Hanma as vengeance for the death of his mother Emi Akezawa.  Baki has shaggy brown hair and a beauty mark over his lip that resembles Emi’s.  For your costume, you’ll need a pair of red shorts to emulate Baki’s preferred fighting uniform.  While finding an exact match might be difficult, plenty of options exist that are very similar, so choose your favorite.  You’ll also need white hand wraps and athletic tape, and you can use a pair of open-toed grip socks to protect your feet.  Baki is covered in scars from his hard years of training, and you can use scar wax to recreate these.  Depending on how many you decide to wear, you may need extra wax.  Choose a concealer in your skin tone (the one linked comes in many) to conceal the edges.  Finally, use a black eyebrow pencil to add your beauty mark and you’re ready for a fight!

Atsuhiro Sako/Mr. Compress from My Hero Academia

Mr. Compress (voiced in Japanese by Tsuguo Mogami and in English by Kent Williams) is part of the League of Villains in the series My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia.

He is very showy and more of an entertainer oriented criminal, much in the way that Gentle is. His quirk is compressing things into small, tealy-blue marbles.

We haven’t seen his full face in the anime yet, so mild spoiler warning, but he’s got upswept brown hair, and light brown eyes. He has a variety of patterned white masks that he wears over a black ski mask that leads all the way down his collar, a burnt orange button up shirt worn with the collar popped, a green bolo tie, a black vest, black pants, white and black high boots, reddish-orange gloves, and a brown top hat with a red band and a very long white-ish feather sticking out of it.

We follow his struggles in gaining respect from the previous kitchen staff while dealing with grief and the stressful environment all at once.

Carmen wears the same uniform most of the kitchen staff does, which is a deep blue denim apron, a white shirt, black pants and black shoes. Add two kitchen towels at your sides and you’ll look just like this determined chef!

mittens fluff n stuff from lalaloopsy

Mittens Fluff ‘n’ Stuff from Lalaloopsy

Mittens Fluff ‘n’ Stuff (voiced by Paige Stone) is a main character on the Nick Jr. show Lalaloopsy, based on the toy line of the same name.  She loves snow fights, hot cocoa, and her younger sister Bundles Snuggle Stuff.  Mittens has blue hair which you can recreate one of two ways.  The first is to take a yarn-like wig and style it into pigtails.  If the doll look isn’t as important to you, a blue wig with pigtail extensions might be a closer color match.  Then, layer a pair of striped socks under bloomers and a tutu, and choose the striped shirt you think looks best to wear under a furry white vest.  Finish your costume with a pair of white knit boots and two white hair bows to secure your pigtails.

The Priest from Fleabag

The Priest from the series Fleabag is played by Andrew Scott. Fleabag is adapted from what it originally was, a live one-woman show by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She then created a hilarious two-season series where we watch her navigate grief and life in London while she runs a guinea pig themed cafe on her own. In the second season, she focuses on her love interest, The Priest, played by the talented Andrew Scott. The Priest is featured in the second season of the series. His personality is unique in that he’s what Fleabag would call a “cool priest” with his occasional swearing and surprisingly casual personality.

This character dresses how you would expect any priest to, in all black with a clergy shirt and a bible always in his hand. And don’t forget a fox element to tie in the storyline of his fear of foxes!
