Alfred Pennyworth from Batman

Alfred Pennyworth is as iconic as Batman himself. He’s the man who raised Bruce after the murder the Waynes. He is the man who keeps track of the Bat family when the number of vigilantes grows. And he’s the one that grounds Bruce when the burden of the superhero life gets to be too much.

There are a few ways you can pull off an Alfred cosplay. All of them involve a black suit, black bow tie, and black shoes with a white button down shirt. You can leave the shirt as-is or replace the buttons with black buttons. A fake mustache is a must, of course. When it comes to Alfred’s hair, though, you have more choices. You can use a bald cap or you can opt for white pomade and slick your hair back while getting Alfred’s mature, distinguished look.

Skinny All-Might

All-Might is a main character in the hit anime, My Hero Academia. His real name is Toshinori Yagi. After sustaining permanent damage from One For All, his declining health reduced him to a very skinny man. The effects of his wounds make it difficult to sustain his muscular, empowered form for long durations of time. Due to the devastating impact on his heroic abilities, All-Might passes the Quirk to Deku. However, he must keep the secret that this is All-Might’s true form. Use the black eyeshadow to give your eyes a sunken appearance, and size up on the clothes to make this outfit extra baggy.

All-Might

All-Might is a main character in the hit anime, My Hero Academia. He is a famous Pro-Hero, even better known as the  Number 1 hero, who saves people with a smile. For that reason, Deku looks up to All-Might as a role model, and he wants to save people as well. His desire to do right as a hero convinces All-Might to pass along his One for All Quirk to him. He is also a teacher at U.A High School, where he must maintain his muscular form to conceal his secret. His design is meant to resemble American comic book heroes, so use the black face paint to draw the lines on his face.

Garnet from Steven Universe Future

Garnet from Steven Universe Future

Voiced by Estelle, Garnet has been a Steven Universe staple from the show’s beginning. Now that Steven is grown in the Steven Universe series, she is still an important part of his life and the series at large.

It makes sense that cosplaying such a key character would take a little more DIY than most. In this case, getting Garnet’s specific look requires some fabric paint, a white blouse, and acrylic paint to add details to the shoes. The top requires a light pink, a bubblegum pink, a hot pink, and a bright purple for the upper portion and the sleeves. Dark blue and a darker purple are needed for the bottom of the shirt.

Dark blue pants and shoes knock out most of the rest of her outfit while dark pink acrylic paint adds the detail to the toe of the shoes. After that all you need is a black wig and a pair of Garnet glasses.

mary cooper from young sheldon

Mary Cooper from Young Sheldon

Mary Cooper (played by Zoe Perry) is the mother of Georgie, Sheldon, and Missy on the TV series Young Sheldon.  A young mother from East Texas, Mary is devout and no-nonsense, even as she sometimes struggles to understand her genius son.  Mary wears a variety of clothes throughout the series, and imitating her look is a great chance to dust off some vintage dresses or accessories you might have lying in the back of your closet.  Otherwise, focus on bold 80s prints with vintage-inspired silhouettes.  And of course, don’t forget to practice your southern drawl to really sell the part.

Jinx from Arcane
