Rui is an antagonist in the hit anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. He belonged to the Twelve Demon Moons as the Lower Moon Five. Known as the Spider Demon, he could weave spider webs between his fingers that captured and slashed his enemies to pieces. Rui had weak and fragile body, and Muzan Kibutsuji offered to "save" him by turning him into a demon. After killing his parents, Rui tries to fill those roles with his makeshift "Spider Family." When he entraps Nezuko with the intent to make her his sister, Tanjiro kills him. In the afterlife, he reunites with his parents, who show their child forgiveness.
