Richard "Rick" O'Connell is the main character in The Mummy film franchise. He served as a captain in the French Foreign Legion before becoming an adventurer. He meets Evelyn and Jonathan Carnahan while being held in a Cairo prison, but he is released early to lead them to Hamunaptra. He proves himself as a skilled gunslinger and fighter against Imohotep and his zombies. When he rescues Evelyn from the mummy, they fall in love and eventually marry. Rick is often compared to the likes of Indiana Jones and Nathan Drake. He is portrayed by beloved actor Brendan Fraser.
