Her grandmother Nai Nai is expected to only have a short time left to live, and the family decides not to tell Nai Nai of her diagnosis. Billi joins her family in China when everyone visits Nai Nai using a “family wedding” as an excuse. She is conflicted about the lie being fed to her grandmother, and is relearning the bonds of her family in The Farewell.

Snufkin from Moominvalley

Haru Kato works as a Detective for the Metropolitan Police Department as a member of the Modern Crime Prevention Task Force. Haru has strong values, and can have a temper when seeing things that are against his values. He is not afraid to sacrifice himself to solve a case or save civilians. Haru is very passionate about is detective work in Fugou Keiji Balance: Unlimited.

Houtarou from Hyouka

Houtarou Oreki is a student at Kamiyama High School, and doesn’t like to waste energy. If he doesn’t have to do something, he won’t. If he does have to do something, he’ll make it quick. That could be one reason why his deduction skills are so great. The most energy Houtarou spends these days is participating in Classic Literature Club as he helps his curious classmate Eru. Houtarou helps uncover Eru’s curiousities in Hyouka.

Kim Fischer from The Mentalist

Kim Fischer, played by Emily Swallow, is an FBI Senior Special Agent. She is the daughter of lawyers, which is a huge part of where her ambitious nature comes from. Her colleagues view her passion and pride in getting the job done as reckless at times, but her extreme drive is what interested Supervisory Agent Dennis Abbott. He recruits Kim for an important mission. Kim is gaining more respect and more responsibility in The Mentalist.
