Dr. Darcy Lewis in WandaVision
“What? I’m invested.” Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) is a character in the hit Marvel Disney+ series, WandaVision. She first appeared in Thor as a political science major. Upon landing an astrophysics internship with Jane Foster, she meets Thor and helps him back to Asgard. Darcy also appeared in Thor: Dark World, continuing to work with Jane to investigate portals in London. Now after completing her doctorate, Darcy finally returns. Given her headway in astrophysics, an organization called S.W.O.R.D. calls upon Darcy to investigate the missing town of Westview, NJ. She’s the one who discovers broadcast waves intertwined with the radiation, confirming the ongoing sitcom. Agent Monica Rambeau and FBI Agent Jimmy Woo become her allies to figure out more about what is happening in Westview, and how they can save the citizens from Wanda’s hex.
Ochaco Uraraka
Ochaco Uraraka is a student in class 1-A at U.A. High School. Her Quirk is called Zero Gravity. When she touches the pads of her fingertips together, she can cause people and things to float. Known as Uravity, she is training to become a pro hero. Fellow students describe her as the “most laid back girl” in class. Ochaco is very bubbly, yet also unintentionally blunt. Empathetic and kind, she can easily read and understand others. Ochaco has a fierce side as well, best illustrated in her strategy in competitions. She has a crush on fellow student Izuku Midoriya.
Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse is the iconic mascot of the Walt Disney Company. His girlfriend is Minnie Mouse, with whom they own a pet dog named Pluto. His first debut was in Steamboat Willie in 1930. Since then, Mickey has appeared in over 130 films, most notably Brave Little Tailor and Fantasia. Several television shows center around this iconic character, such as The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the new Mickey Mouse Cartoons. With video games such as Kingdom Hearts and Epic Mickey comic books and strips, even hidden in the theme park, you’ll find Mickey everywhere. He is easily one of the most recognizable cartoon characters, with a whole march dedicated to his name: “Who’s the leader of the club that’s made for you and me? M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!”
Donald Duck
Donald Duck is a classic Disney character. He is Mickey Mouse’s best friend. In contrast to Mickey’s level-headedness, Donald has an explosive temper. His mischievous and overconfident personality can land him into trouble. As soon as something goes wrong, he’s quacking up a storm, face and beak bright red. A common catchphrase of his is “Aw, phooey!” His girlfriend, Daisy Duck, often scolds him for his temper tantrums. He is also an uncle, and his nephews include Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Fun fact: His middle name is Fauntelroy! Like the other classic characters, Donald appears in The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Mickey Mouse Cartoons, as well as the parks and merchandising.
Batwoman
Kate Kane, aka Batwoman, is the title character of the live action CW show Batwoman. Three years have passed since the disappearance of Batman, and his cousin Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) must take the mantle to be Gotham’s next vigilante. Under the alter-ego of Batwoman, she protects the city from criminals. In the second season, an airplane crashes with Kate as a passenger. Although her body missing, her Batsuit is found by Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie), a former convict. Ryan becomes the newest Batwoman, aiming to finish what Kate started. We included two wig options, one for Kate Kane and one for Ryan Wilder, depending on which Batwoman you want to cosplay. If you’re able to splurge, ProCosplay offers the entire set. The Rubie’s option doesn’t include shoes, but a pair of black shoes or boots will do.
Granny Garbanzo from The Big Comfy Couch
Granny Garbanzo (Grindl Kuchirka) is a recurring character on The Big Comfy Couch, a Canadian children’s show from the 90s. She is an elderly clown who lives in a wagon next to a clothes line with her cat, Snicklefritz. She has a heavy European accent, and refers to Loonette with a diminutive “-ka” suffix. Granny often makes references to the old days and the old country. While she provides wisdom to Loonette, she possesses quite a bit of youthful energy. In the later seasons, she has her own cooking show.
Quackerjack from Darkwing Duck
Quackerjack is a recurring villain in both the Darkwing Duck animated series and comic books. He used to be a toymaker, but he was put out of business by the Whiffle Boy video game market. His hatred and jealousy spiraled him into madness, leading him down the path of evil. As Quackerjack, he dons a jester’s appearance and robs banks to fund his toy-making, as well as supply his arsenal of deadly toys. He has since become one of Negaduck’s Fearsome Five alongside Megavolt. His catchphrase is “It’s PLAYTIME!” You can assemble your own Jester’s hat and outfit, but Smiffy’s provides a good base. However it doesn’t come with tights or shoes, so we included mustard yellow tights and red jester shoes to better match the character.
Spirit Albarn
Spirit Albarn is a character in the anime Soul Eater. He is Death’s current meister partner after being turned into a Death Scythe by his ex-wife. He is a teacher at Death Weapon Meister Academy as well as the Maka’s father. While Spirit can be youthfully careless and flirtatious, he can be serious in certain situations. For instance, he is a passionate parent, who longs for the love and acceptance of his daughter. Place a strip of black gaffer tape on the olive shirt under the middle of the tie, and use the black fabric marker to draw a cross on each collar.
Elrond in Lord of the Rings
Elrond is a minor character in Lord of the Rings. He is the wise and noble half-elf who rules Rivendell, as its original founder. He is also the father of Arwen. When Gandalf resists asking more from Frodo, he persuades Fellowship to continue its journey of destroying the Ring. This leads to his formation of the Council of Elrond. In the film adaptation, Hugo Weaving plays this role. This look requires some minor crafting, as you’ll need the silver puff paint to draw the pattern on the coat. Tuck the red scarf into the brown cummerbund so it drapes over.
Major Bedhead from The Big Comfy Couch
Major Bedhead (Fred Stinson) is a recurring character on The Big Comfy Couch, a Canadian children’s show from the 90s. He is a clown who delivers the mail on his unicycle. He stops by to give Loonette postcards from her Auntie Macassar or Uncle Chester. However, he comes off as quite irresponsible for spending so much time chatting with Loonette and Granny Garbanzo and not delivering packages. Goofy yet clumsy, Major Bedhead possesses many clowning skills such as juggling and pogo sticking. His pet peeves are lying and dishonesty.
