Big Jack Horner from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
Big Jack Horner (voice by John Mulaney) is the primary antagonist of the animated film Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Formerly Little Jack Horner, he is a crime lord and pastry chef with a grudge, intent on harvesting all the world’s magic. Big Jack Horner has short pink hair and wears a purple overcoat and vest, as well as a pink tie. He finishes his outfit with brown pants and black boots. Jack has a stain on his right thumb from pushing it into pies. You can recreate this effect with some lip stain to tinge your thumb a berry color.
Patricia Thompson from Soul Eater
Patricia “Patty” Thompson (voiced by Narumi Takihira in Japanese and Cherami Leigh in English) is the younger sister of Liz Thompson and the weapon partner of Death the Kid in the anime and manga series Soul Eater. Patty is shorter than her elder sister, with brighter blonde hair which she wears in a bob haircut with bangs. Her outfit is similar to her sister’s, though a bit more revealing, swapping out Liz’s long jeans for a pair of shorts instead.
Kakihara from Ichi the Killer
Kakihara (played by Tadanobu Asano) is the sadistic yakuza enforcer who meets his match in Ichi the Killer. Kakihara has distinctive scars on his face, which you’ll need molding wax to replicate. He wears a couple of outlandish outfits throughout the film, though the embellished shirt and iridescent pants he wears in his final showdown with Ichi is certainly one of the most striking. To recreate his costume, you may need to be a little flexible, as finding a holographic purple suit and sequin-embellished dress shirt can be difficult. A rose-gold button-down with a shimmery gold floral pattern will fill in nicely, and you can either choose to focus on the colors of Kakihara’s suit or the holographic quality, depending on your preference.
Count Dracula from Renfield
Count Dracula (played by Nicolas Cage) is the centuries-old vampire who keeps the titular R.M. Renfield in his employ in the horror comedy Renfield. Renfield has been the Count’s familiar for centuries, helping the intimidating vampire secure food and achieve his full power. All is well and good until Renfield decides he’s had enough. Count Dracula’s attire in the film varies, but you can always bet he’s wearing something snazzy and a little over the top. Two of his best looks include a red velvet suit with a golden brooch instead of a tie, as well as an all-black ensemble that includes a fur-trimmed coat and a cane. No matter which look you choose, you’ll need white makeup and blue lipstick to achieve a truly undead look. Accessorize with long nails, terrifying teeth, and plenty of oversized rings.
Perry from The Last of Us (HBO)
Perry (played by Jeffrey Pierce who portrayed Tommy in the original video game) is a character from HBO’s The Last of Us. He is Kathleen‘s second in command in the uprising against Fedra in Kansas City. Perry has long grey hair and a well-kept beard, and dresses in paramilitary garb, making him a perfectly suited lieutenant as Kathleen searches for Henry. Recreating Perry’s look will require you to stock up on your tactical supplies. Perry wears black pants and a well-worn green shirt, over which he dons a black tactical vest and belt. He also wears heavy-duty boots and black gloves.
Elmer Fudd
Elmer Fudd is an accident-prone hunter from the original Looney Tunes show. He is an enemy of Bugs Bunny, determined to track down the rascally rodent during rabbit season, but ultimately, Bugs outsmarts him every time. Elmer’s outfit has had some tweaks over the years, but his overall aesthetic remains the same: a brown hunting outfit including a hat with red detailing, brown shoes, and a rifle perfect for taking down pesky rabbits. To recreate his look, you can use some red fabric paint on the inside of your hat’s earflaps.
Belle Bottom from Minions: The Rise of Gru
Belle Bottom (voiced by Taraji P. Henson) is the disco-themed supervillain in Minions: Rise of Gru. Belle is a member of the Vicious 6, which a young Gru desperately wishes to be part of. However, she dashes his dreams when she tells him that villainy is for adults and not children, which leads him to steal the Zodiac Stone from her. Belle’s costume is a throwback to the ’70s, with a purple jumpsuit and platform shoes, a big afro hairstyle, and gold jewelry. Finding her long purple leopard print coat with bright pink trim is almost impossible, so don’t be afraid to find a robe or coat that evokes a similar feel even if it isn’t a perfect match.
Henry from The Last of Us (HBO)
Henry (played by Lamar Johnson) is the older brother of Sam in HBO’s video game adaptation The Last of Us. Henry informed on Kathleen‘s brother, the leader of the resistance, to Fedra in exchange for medicine for Sam. When the brothers stumble on Joel and Ellie, the four make their way out of Kansas City together. They don’t get far, though, before tragedy strikes. Henry’s most distinctive piece of clothing is his red coat, which he wears over another darker-colored puffer jacket. He also carries a brown rucksack with a clip-on flashlight and a silver pistol.
Veronica from Heathers
Veronica (played by Winona Ryder) is the main character of the high school-set dark comedy Heathers.  Veronica and JD were wreaking havoc on Westerburg High Schoo long before the film received the musical treatment. Veronica wears a number of 80s-inspired outfits throughout the film. Some of her most iconic include the tiered skirt and black crop top she wears in the woods before she realizes how dark JD’s plans truly are, the sweater and dress she dons at a convenience store, and her soot-stained outfit from the end of the film, which includes the same grey sweater she wears in the woods, a blue shirt, and checkered skirt. No matter what outfit Veronica’s wearing, a pair of dark tights finish the look in true 80s fashion.
Miles Bron from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
Miles Bron (played by Edward Norton) is the enigmatic billionaire at the heart of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Miles invites all his closest friends to a remote island for a murder mystery game, only for things to get a little too real. Despite his affluent status, Miles is depicted as mostly wearing relatively simple clothing. He greets his guests, including estranged business partner Andi Brand and incredible sleuth Benoit Blanc, barefoot and wearing striped pajamas. At dinner, he dons a pair of khakis with a grey v-neck sweater and a pendant necklace which ties in to the murder mystery he’s devised for his guests.
