Luz Noceda from The Owl House (Season 2)
Luz Noceda (voiced by Sarah-Nicole Robles) is the main character of the Disney Channel series The Owl House. In season two of the show, Luz‘s outfit changes a little, trading out black leggings and denim shorts for a colorful bodysuit under a grey belted dress. The easiest way to recreate her updated look is to purchase a cosplay set that includes the multicolor bodysuit already. It is possible to get close with a little DIY by layering green and purple arm sleeves beneath your outfit. The leggings might be a little more difficult, but if you have some sewing skills, you can alter two pairs of red and blue leggings to wear under your dress. Whether you decide to purchase the set or make your own, finish off Luz’s look with white shoes, black earrings, and a short brown wig.
Stewart Stevens from South Park
Stewart Stevens (voiced by Mona Marshall) is an elementary school student in the Comedy Central animated series South Park. Stewart is the sister of Bebe Stevens and friends with many of the other popular girls including Red McArthur and Millie Larsen. Stewart has red hair and wears a yellow jacket with dark jeans and black shoes.
Lexy Cross from Chucky
Lexy Cross (played by Alvia Alyn Lind) is a character in the Chucky TV series. Lexy is friends with Devon and Jake, and the roommate of Nadine once she’s enrolled at Incarnate Lord. Lexy wears a number of different outfits throughout the series. She is pretty and popular, typically wearing trendy clothes when not in her school uniform. At the start of the series, she can be seen wearing a cropped pink jacket, ruffled skirt, and white turtleneck with chunky sneakers. When hosting a school talent show, she wears a colorful striped dress and blue heeled booties. And she can also be seen looking truly horrifying in a snowman onesie with a bloody chainsaw.
Devon Evans from Chucky
Devon Evans (played by Björgvin Arnarson) is a character in the Chucky TV series. Devon is Jake‘s boyfriend and one of the students targeted by the murderous Good Guy doll Jake found at a yard sale. Like most of the characters on the show, Devon wears many different outfits. His specific tie-dye shirt from the start of the series can be hard to track down, but a short sleeve version layered over a grey tie-dye long-sleeved shirt is a good substitute. One of his best costumes includes a pair of white martial arts gloves as he and his friends try to track down Chucky.
Tsukasa Kazuki from Romantic Killer
Tsukasa Kazuki (voiced by Yūichirō Umehara and Jason Griffith) is a supporting character from Romantic Killer. He is the first potential love interest of Anzu Hoshino after a wizard forces her to pursue romance. Tsukasa, though, while popular with girls at his school, tends to avoid dating. Tsukasa has orange hair and is typically shown in his school uniform, including a polo shirt and blue plaid trousers. He also wears a black watch on his left wrist and a pair of white and blue sneakers.
Jake Wheeler from Chucky
Jake Wheeler (played by Zackary Arthur) is a main character in the Chucky TV series. Jake finds a Good Guy doll at a yard sale and plans to sell it online, which sparks the events of the series when the doll comes to life with murderous intent. Jake eventually dates Devon and becomes friends with Lexy, despite a rocky start. Jake wears many different outfits, but you can’t go wrong with dark jeans and a flannel shirt layered over a black t-shirt. Jake wears a unique (and creepy) doll head pendant necklace, but a Friday the 13th pendant will achieve a similar effect with no DIY required.
Nadine from Chucky
Nadine (played by Bella Higginbotham) is a student at Incarnate Lord where she is roommates with Lexy Cross in the TV series Chucky. Nadine joins forces with Lexy, Jake, and Devon to stop the Good Guy doll at the heart of the horror. Nadine has short, curly auburn hair and wears round-framed glasses. Most often, she is shown wearing her Catholic reform school uniform. If you want to recreate her ethereal white look, it might be difficult to find an exact match for her dress. You can achieve a similar look by layering a sheer robe over a white dress and using gold fabric paint to add some floral details to the robe.
Cody from It Takes Two
Cody (voiced by Joseph Balderrama) is one of the protagonists of the adventure game It Takes Two. Cody and his wife May are in the midst of a separation when their minds are transferred into two dolls made by their daughter Rose. They must put their issues aside to find their way back to their bodies. Cody’s doll appearance includes green hair, an orange sweater, and patchwork pants. Top off your wig with a green antenna headband and create your button pin from a paper plate. You can also cut plates into the shapes of the leaves that appear throughout Cody’s costuming. Don’t be afraid to take your crafting scissors to your sweater as well in order to achieve the perfectly imperfect look from the game. Top it all off with some rope wound around your midsection and right forearm, as well as a pair of tan shoes.
Meryl Stryfe from Trigun Stampede
Meryl Stryfe (voiced most recently by Sakura Andou and Sarah Roach) is a supporting character in the anime and manga series Trigun. In the 2023 reboot Trigun Stampede, Meryl is a rookie reporter investigating Vash the Stampede alongside her seasoned partner Roberto De Niro. In addition to an update to her vocation, Meryl’s wardrobe underwent an overhaul for the new series. In Trigun Stampede, she wears a white blouse with blue frog button detailing, black tights, and blue shorts with a rolled hem. Her accessories include gold earrings, a blue beret, black fingerless gloves, a black belt with gold buckle, a cream-colored jacket, and white high-top sneakers. If you really want to get as close to her look from the show as possible, take a little light blue fabric paint to the buttons on a white blouse to make them pop.
Goldilocks from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
Goldilocks (voiced by Florence Pugh) is all grown up in the Dreamworks animated feature Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. The leader of a criminal gang which includes the Three Bears from her well-known fairy tale, Goldilocks allies herself with Big Jack Horner in a bid to secure the Last Wish so she can be reunited with her biological family. Goldilocks wears her hair into two enormous curly buns with two locks trailing down her back. Her costume includes a puff sleeve blouse under a blue corset top, a multicolored skirt, and brown boots. To recreate her look, you can layer multiple skirts together, and even use a pair of scissors to give them a more shredded look. Use a blonde wig with pigtail clip-ins styled as two buns and secured with teal hair ties (in the film, her hair is held in place with beaded ties, but any texture will do). Finally, wind a leather strap around your right wrist, and accessorize with pearls, a multicolored necklace, and mismatched earrings. Her staff, which has a v-shaped top, also has pearl strands wound around it.
