Cartoons
Shauna from South Park
Shauna (voiced by Mona Marshall) is a minor character in the adult animated series South Park. She is a student at South Park Elementary alongside Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Eric. She goes on a date with Jimmy Valmer that ends with her throwing her drink in his face. Shauna has long ginger hair which she clips on each side with small mint green bows. She wears a black skirt and black flats. Her blouse is purple and white with short sleeves and ruffles, so choose a shirt in a similar shade with ruffle details.
Dominique de Sade from The Case Study of Vanitas
Dominique [Domi] (voiced in Japanese by Ai Kayano and in English by Alexis Tipton) is one of the major protagonists in the anime/manga series The Case Study of Vanitas, by Jun Mochizuki.
She is a vampire, much like the majority of the rest of the main cast of the series, and has been very close friends with Noé since they were kids. The main vampire governmental stronghold, Carbunculus Castle, has her currently employed as a knight.
Domi has long black hair that reaches down past her mid-back, and vibrant golden eyes. Her work outfit consists of a white military-styled jacket with pinkish-lavender lined coattails, black and gold accents, and a white and purple sash. Her undershirt is a high-collared black shirt with a matching bowed cravat topped by a vibrant gem. Her pants are white and mostly covered with thigh-high boots, with grey tops, and golden metallic heels and shoe tips. The rest of the look is finished off by dark pinkish-red gloves, and her trademark sword.
Shalnark Ryuseih from Hunter x Hunter
Shalnark (voiced in Japanese by Noriko Hidaka and in English by Griffin Burns) is one of the members of the main group of antagonists of the York New arc of the Hunter x Hunter series.
He is one of the initial founding members of the Phantom Troupe, having known Chrollo since they were both very young, with the majority of the members all growing up together in Meteor City. Shalnark’s nen specialty is Manipulation, and he uses a modified cell phone in order to control people like puppets, which also extends to himself, using his autopilot mode to turn him into an extremely powerful fighting force.
His color palette is significantly different in the 1999 adaptation, but in the 2011 version of the anime, he has a much lighter pastel appearance. His hair is a short cut blonde with a slight green wash to it, and his eyes are a mid-toned green. He wears a matching two-piece outfit, with the sleeveless top a light lavender color, with a black under layer, and different shades of teal as the cuffs and waistband, with small white details. The pants are the same lavender shade, and are cuffed just above the ankles, revealing slip on shoes that match the teal detailing on the top.
Gilbert Ross from B the Beginning
Gilbert (voiced in Japanese by Toshiyuki Morikawa and in English by John DeMita) is one of the secondary main characters in the Netflix original anime series B the Beginning.
He works with the R.I.S. as their head forensics coroner, helping give them insight on the nastier parts of their cases. Out of the main cast, the one he’s closest to is Keith, as they have known each other for a very long time, and considers him a mental competitor in study.
Gilbert has white hair that he wears slicked back except for two long strands on either side of his face, and his eyes are a soft, bright blue. He wears a dark grey turtleneck that he has a mid-length white labcoat over, with a pen nested in the pocket. His pants are a pair of light grey slacks, which he wears a black belt on top of, and his shoes are a light grey slip-on formal shoe with a slight heel.
Bernard Mettle from OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes
Bernard Mettle (voiced by Dave Fennoy) is a purple werewolf from the Cartoon Network series OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. He is the husband of Wilhamena, and the father of Enid, Icky, and Boris. To create your costume, you must first decide whether you wish to recreate Bernard’s werewolf or human form. If you choose to be human, you’ll need blue pants, a black belt, and temporary purple hair color. For his werewolf form, you can choose a wolf costume or purple animal accessories and then wear a pair of blue shorts, a black belt, and a green plaid shirt. No matter which you decide, don’t be afraid to use a pair of scissors to achieve Bernard’s tattered appearance from the show.
Bobby Santiago from The Casagrandes
Bobby Santiago (voiced by Carlos PenaVega) is Ronnie Anne‘s older brother in The Casagrandes. Bobby and Ronnie Anne began as supporting characters in the Nickelodeon series The Loud House before taking on main roles in the spin-off. Bobby is relaxed, easy-going, and protective of his younger sister. Bobby has dark hair and a few wisps of hair on his chin. His outfit consists of brown sneakers, blue jeans, and a cream-colored t-shirt under a green plaid button-down left unbuttoned. He also wears a black belt with a gold buckle.
Laterose of Noonvale from Redwall
Laterose of Noonvale (voiced by Lindsey Connell in the TV series) is a character from the book series by Brian Jacques and the television adaptation Redwall. Rose is from a peaceful valley. She is the sister of Brome and the protagonist Martin the Warrior’s love interest. Rose is a mouse and wears long robes. To build your costume you can layer robes over a onesie or choose a half-face mask instead. Accessorize with a red neckerchief, brown belt and pouch, and a rose pin.
Matthias from Redwall
Matthias (voiced by Tyrone Savage in the TV series) is a character from the Redwall series of books written by Brian Jacques and adapted for television. Matthias is an orphan and an eventual successor of Martin the Warrior. Matthias is a brown mouse who favors shades of green and brown in his clothing. You can create his look in one of two ways. First, you can choose a brown animal onesie and wear a green long-sleeved and brown tunic over that. You’ll also need a satchel and sword for this option. You can also choose to wear a set of green robes with a half-face mask. For this look, you’ll need a long wooden staff.
Fuyumi Todoroki from My Hero Academia
Fuyumi (voiced in Japanese by Kei Shindō and in English by Kate Oxley) is a secondary character in the anime/manga series My Hero Academia.
She is the second oldest of the Todoroki siblings, and the only daughter. Despite having a quirk like her brothers (hers being ice only), she didn’t go towards a hero profession and instead became an elementary school teacher.
Fuyumi looks very visually similar to her mother, with long white hair, though it’s flecked with red stripes from her dad’s color. Her eyes are turquoise in the manga, but they were changed to gray in the anime. She has a wide variety of outfits she’s seen in throughout the series, but they’re all relatively in the same style. For this one she wears a white polo shirt, a deep burgundy open front cardigan, slate grey slacks, a black belt, and white and grey-blue sneakers.
Chrollo Lucilfer from Hunter x Hunter
I have previously covered the disguise that Chrollo wears in the York New arc in another article, so this one will be focusing more on one of his more regularly worn outfits.
While the other look was meant to help him blend in during the auction and get on Neon Nostrade’s good side in order to manipulate her into giving him the fortune readings he was looking for, this is how he is more commonly seen while interacting with the rest of the Troupe members.
He wears the same teal bulb earrings as in his disguise, but in this outfit he wears his hair slicked back, revealing the tattoo on his forehead. His undershirt is black with a intricately detailed crisscrossing pattern, with a similar ribbon-crossed pattern on his matching pants, and a light tan belt worn off-center across the top of the pants. The main feature part of his outfit is a long black coat with an extremely over-exaggerated fluffy white trim around the collar, as well as the cuffs, and there is a large St. Peter’s cross embellished on the back. The shoes he wears with this outfit are black with large decorate gold pieces that match the ones worn on the shoulder regions of his coat.
