Dr. Dennis Whitaker (played by Gerran Howell) is a fourth year resident in The Pitt.  Hailing originally from a farm in Nebraska, Whitaker finds himself saddled with the nickname "Huckleberry" courtesy of Dr. Trinity Santos.  He also ends up swapping scrubs multiple times during his first day in the ER after incidents with a bottle of Mylanta which Dr. Samira Mohan is not quick enough to warn him about, and several patients' bodily fluids.  Whitaker begins his day in a set of standard black scrubs, but has to change clothes frequently throughout his long shift, including ending up in a set that's at least one size too small for him, as well as a pair of blue scrubs typically reserved for staff working in the morgue when no black scrubs in his size are available.
