Bayonetta from Bayonetta 3

Bayonetta (voiced in Bayonetta 3 by Jennifer Hale) is the titular witch of the PlatinumGames series.  Bayonetta is an Umbra Witch tasked with protecting the multiverse alongside her apprentice Viola in the third installment of the franchise.  Bayonetta’s costume is complex and will require a little creativity to recreate.  As a base, you’ll need black leggings with a lace cutout design and a puffy-sleeved backless shirt.  Bayonetta’s belt and skirt in the game are crafted from her own hair.  If you’d rather not collect your locks to weave a costume, a black obi sash and tutu will suffice.  Lastly, you’ll need light purple gloves, glasses, and a long black wig plaited on either side with red cord.  The gold details of her outfit, if you choose to add them, can be recreated with a glue gun, some gold glue, and applique pieces.  Be strategic about which aspects of her costume are most important to you.  You can add gold flowers to the tutu, floral applique to the gloves, and even some gold details to the heels of your shoes.  Finding a replica gun from the game can be quite expensive, so consider using a toy foam blaster that will help evoke the same feel even if it’s not an exact match.

Clive Dove from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

Clive (voiced in Japanese by Yuri Lowenthal and in English by Shun Oguri) is the main antagonist of the video game Professor Layton and the Unwound Future.

He pretended to be a future version of Hershel Layton’s apprentice, Luke Triton, in order to make it seem like there really were time shenanigans going on, to trick them.

Due to his appearance faking, he mostly just looks like an older Luke, with similar light brown hair, and a blue newsboy cap. He wears a white button up shirt with a grey-brown vest and blue tie over top, a light blue suit jacket, brown shorts, dark blue tube socks, and brownish-black buckled shoes.

Phi from Virtues Last Reward

Phi (voiced in Japanese by Chiaki Omigawa and in English by Karen Strassman) is one of the main characters in the second and third games of the Zero Escape series, and for this one I’ll be focusing on her Virtue’s Last Reward design.

She has short pixie cut white hair, with two black dahlia floral hair clips sitting offcenter on her head, and greyish-blue eyes. Her outfit all follows a blue/white/black theme, with layered black and white tank-tops, a beaded long layered necklace over top of them, a black miniskirt with a blue underlayer, and she wears a light blue long cardigan. The brooch she wears attached to the coat is a lasting memento of her mother. She finishes the look off with shin-high black slouch boots.

the twins from atomic heart

The Twins from Atomic Heart

The Twins (voiced by Anita Pudikova) are ballerina robots created as bodyguards for Dmitry Sechenov in the video game Atomic Heart.  Known as only Left and Right, the humanoid Twins were created with the most advanced technology available, making them as deadly as they are lovely.  The twins have smooth silver faces and lithe bodies.  To recreate their look, you can start with a full head-to-toe metallic silver bodysuit and layer a black leotard overtop.  If you don’t have hair long enough to style as a braided crown, use a wig, but either way, you’ll want to go heavy on the gold hairspray to get as close to the static metal hair look as possible.  Depending on which Twin you choose to play, you may also need a gold cropped jacket.  Lastly, add a red star sticker to the center of your expressionless forehead and, if you’re feeling particularly ambitious, you can also add gold details to your elbows, wrists, knees, and feet with some fabric paint.

mother miranda from resident evil village

Mother Miranda from Resident Evil Village

Mother Miranda (voiced by Michelle Lukes) is the antagonist of Resident Evil Village.  Mother Miranda was once a biologist who became a cult leader after she is infected by the Mold following the death of her daughter.  Mother Miranda experimented on villagers in the hopes of reviving her daughter, including Alcina Dimitrescu.  Eventually, she kidnaps Rosemary Winters, which draws Rose’s father Ethan as well as Chris Redfield to the Village in an attempt to thwart her.  Mother Miranda’s most recognizable costume includes a gold headdress and ornate black wings. To recreate her look, you can start with a black and silver renaissance gown and fingerless gloves.  Add the wings and drape a folded scarf over your shoulders.  If your hair is too dark, you can don a blonde wig, though it will be covered with a head wrap.  Lastly, you’ll need your gold crown and face chain mask to complete the look.

professor turo from pokemon violet

Professor Turo from Pokémon Violet

Professor Turo is the husband of Professor Sada and the main antagonist of Pokémon Violet.  He is the primary professor at Uva Academy.  Unlike his wife, Professor Turo’s outfit is very futuristic-looking, which can cause a little bit of a challenge when recreating the costume, but also offers some chances to get creative.  Most importantly, Professor Turo wears a white lab coat with blue square buttons.  You can purchase a regular lab coat and add new buttons to it if you’re up for a little DIY.  His bodysuit is another story and you can achieve a similar appearance in a few different ways.  A wetsuit in similar colors will give you a very close match, but a set of compression wear may be the more comfortable choice.  Lastly, a pair of slip-on shoes and a beard complete the look.

professor sada from pokemon scarlet

Professor Sada from Pokémon Scarlet

Professor Sada is a character from the video game Pokémon Scarlet.  Alongside her husband Professor Turo, she serves as a main antagonist of the game.  She is the primary professor at Naranja Academy.  Professor Sada wears a fur-trimmed lab coat over a pair of orange shorts and a matching cropped tank top.  She also dons a pair of orange leg warmers and brown sandals.  To DIY her fringed attire, take a pair of scissors to an orange tank and shorts.  An orange necklace with a shark’s tooth or a multi-tooth necklace without orange may suit your needs, depending on your preference.  Likewise, Professor Sada’s belt can be achieved with two different waist chains, one in orange and one with dangling shells.  To cap off her accessories, add some orange to your hair and nails, as well as a bangle bracelet.  If you have a hot glue gun, you can add light pink fur to the collar of her coat.  Otherwise, some clever tucking of a faux fur scarf can achieve a similar look.

junker queen from overwatch

Junker Queen from Overwatch

The Junker Queen (voiced by Leah De Niese) is a tank hero in the Overwatch game series.  She is a brawler who thrives in close combat situations.  The Junker Queen has a striking look, with a blue mohawk and a costume designed to show off her muscular physique.  To recreate her look, you won’t want to be to attached to any of the clothing used, as some of it may need to be tattered or altered to suit her style.  Start with a black sports bra and cut-off shorts. You’ll want to shred a graphic print top with a skull on it to be as itty bitty as possible, as well as cut one leg off a pair of leggings while tearing holes in the side you do where.  Then, you can add the red glove and epaulets to your left arm before adorning your shoulder armor.  A studded gladiator skirt, red sash, and thigh-high boots will help pull the look together, and if you’re looking to add some studs to the boots or other parts of your costume, a rivet set can help you customize your pieces.

Junpei from 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors

Junpei (voiced in Japanese by Tatsuhisa Suzuki and in English by Evan Smith) is the main player character of the first game in the Zero Escape game series, 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors.

He ends up getting dragged into the second Nonary Game by getting kidnapped and forced to play, and then ends up subsequently being dragged into all the following games that occur throughout the rest of the series. The main person he’s close to through during these following games is his childhood friend, Akane Kurashiki.
