Kim Boggs from Edward Scissorhands
Kim Boggs (Winona Ryder) is the beautiful and innocent daughter of the Avon lady Peg in Edward Scissorhands. Her character falls in love with the estranged Edward Scissorhands (played by Johnny Depp) who’s gentle nature changes her views on love and what is right. Set in a 1960’s like-setting, Her outfits are straight out of the past. Two outfits of hers that are most memorable are her camping clothes she meets Edward in, and the significant white dress she wears at the end of the movie. Her makeup is fair and natural, consisting of rose colored lips and bright eyeshadow.
Pilar Estravados
In the 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, Pilar Estravados (Penelope Cruz) is a Spanish missionary and nurse. Set in 1934, her clothing is modest and demure, reflecting her religious devotion.
Hercule Poirot
Hercule Poirot is the brilliant, Belgian private detective who appears in many Agatha Christie novels. In the 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, Poirot is brought to life by the mustached Kenneth Branagh.
Selina Kyle from Batman Returns
In 1992’s Batman Returns, Michelle Pfeiffer plays Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, who is tragically murdered by being pushed out of a window. Selina’s style aside from her stitched cat suit is a lot of wool + fur coats and black dresses. Her makeup also consists of grey and brown eyeshadow and rose pink lipstick, contrasting to her blue eyeshadow and red lipstick when in costume.
Captain Hook from Hook
Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman) is the main antagonist in the 1991 Steven Spielberg fantasy adventure film Hook. He kidnaps the children of Peter Banning, a grown-up Peter Pan, in order to lure him back to Neverland.
Mickey Knox from Natural Born Killers
Mickey Knox (Woody Harrelson) is the sexy serial killer alongside his mate Mallory (Juliette Lewis) in Oliver Stone’s 1994 cult classic flick: Natural Born Killers. He’s an efficient killer who shows zero empathy for his victims.
Alan Parrish
Alan Parrish is the main protagonist of the 1995 fantasy film, Jumanji. He was portrayed by the late Robin Williams. As a child, Parrish played the board game Jumanji and got trapped inside of it. Twenty-six years later, he was freed by two orphaned children named Judy and Peter Shepherd. This guide focuses on his iconic initial adult appearance after being freed from Jumanji. Just remember to roll a 5 or a 6.
Dr. Pamela Isley
In 1997 when Batman & Robin was released, the critics bashed the hell out of it. It is one of the most disappointing films in history by statistics. And personally, one of the only things I adore about the movie in general is Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy (knowing how much I looked up to the character in general during my childhood).
Aside from Poison Ivy’s main costume, I decided to take a turn towards her laboratory uniform as Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley since I find it sexier, and less cheesy. It’s one tutorial that’s easy to start, and perfect for a last minute idea. You could literally go to Wal-Mart and buy these items for less than $20 (then proceed to distress the clothing if I may so add). The items needed are: a tank top, a beige skirt, and some red-hot long hair. If you want it authentically made, vines and chemistry instruments would really pull the whole look together.
Dr. Daniel Jackson
Highly intelligent, intensely curious, wildly theoretical and with a penchant for sneezing, professor of Egyptology Daniel Jackson (James Spader) from the 1994 sci-fi flick Stargate traipses across an unknown world in search of knowledge, exploration and, unexpectedly, love. While off-world, he wears a loose robe and shawls given to him by the local tribe over his standard army clothes.
Joker from Batman: Assault on Arkham
In the direct-to-video movie Batman: Assault on Arkham, Joker plants a dirty bomb that Batman must find, all the while dealing with a superteam of villains called the Suicide Squad, which includes Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and more.
