Lagoona Blue
Lagoona Blue is a character in the Monster High franchise. She is the daughter of a sea monster. She is from Australia so she speaks with an accent. She can also communicate with marine life. She is in a relationship with Gil. With dolls, cartoons, and a live action movie, Lagoona has many different styles. Therefore, our costume guide features a variety of pieces to assemble a unique outfit. Her style is sporty, yet cute, with a central color palette of blue, hot pink, and black, plus yellow for her hair. Undersea or nautical elements such as scale print, fishnets, and pearls, pull her outfits together.
Kenji Miyazawa from Bungo Stray Dogs
Kenji Miyazawa (voiced in Japanese by Hiroyuki Kagura and in English by Lucien Dodge) is a character from the anime/manga Bungo Stray Dogs.
He is one of the main members of the Armed Detective Agency, which he joined after coming from a small countryside village. His ability is called ‘Undefeated by the Rain’ and it enables him to use absolutely alarming superhuman strength, but only when he’s got an empty stomach.
Kenji has golden blonde hair, worn in a fluffy cut, down to his chin in the front and longer down his neck in the back. His eyes are a similar golden color, and he’s got a smattering of freckles across his face. He typically wears a black 3/4 sleeve shirt, a cream colored tattered tunic shirt on top, with a pair of rolled up blue overalls topping it off. He also often wears a light brown straw hat, and when he does wear shoes, they’re a pair of tan flipflops.
Peter from Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus
Peter (voiced in Japanese by Yūki Tai and in English by Vic Mignogna) is one of the secondary main characters in the Book of Circus arc in the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.
He is one of the first-string members in Noah’s Arc Circus and does the flying trapeze act with Wendy. Like Wendy, he looks extremely young, but is very stunted in his growth and is much older than he appears. Unlike Wendy, he very much does not act his supposed age, and is prone to being irritable and rude, even violent at times. Wendy and Jumbo appear to be two of the people he cares the most about, being almost inseparable from Wendy and treating Jumbo with respect.
He has short, overly-fluffy blonde hair topped with a small green off-center hat, and he has light blue eyes, accented by green diamonds on the opposite side of Wendy’s pink ones. His circus outfit consists of a double-ruffled high white collar, a puff sleeve white button up short-sleeved shirt, a lime green vest, dark green puff bloomer-style shorts with yellow star detailing on them, and open toe white tights.
Illumi Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter
Illumi Zoldyck (voiced in Japanese by Masaya Matsukaze and in English by Chris Hackney) is one of the main antagonists in the anime/manga HunterxHunter.
He is the oldest of the Zoldyck siblings and is one of the more threatening ones purely from action. Illumi specializes in appearance-shifting and controlling people’s actions through the pins that he wears imbedded into his shirt.
As with most of his siblings, Illumi has black hair, worn very long and slicked back (sometimes down slightly on the sides), and his eyes are very overwhelmingly full, and pure black. He has a few different outfit through the series, but this one is one of the main ones we usually see. It’s a multi-toned green and yellow shirt and pants set, with off-yellow socks, and shoes that match the color of the pants. His typical weapons, the pins, are imbedded all over the top and shoes for usage.
Art the Clown
Art the Clown is the main antagonist from the Terrifier franchise. Portrayed by David Howard Thornton, Art is a serial killer who takes the appearance of a demented clown. Don’t let his silence fool you – his violent, brutal murders speak for themselves. Let’s just say the two movies aren’t for the faint of heart.
Bianca Barclay from Wednesday
Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday) is a character in Netflix’s Wednesday. She is a Siren who attends Nevermore in the same class as Wednesday. At first, the two do not like each other, which sparks a small rivalry. Bianca thinks Wednesday thinks that she’s better than everyone else. It doesn’t help that Xavier, her ex-boyfriend, has a crush on her. But in the end, Bianca helps Wednesday defeat Crackstone for the safety of the school. Aside from her school uniform, her style is laidback in silver, teal, and blue tones. This guide also includes her Rave’N outfit, with a paillette dress and pearl earrings.
Romi from Catch! Teenieping
Romi (voiced by Lie Ji-hyun in the original Korean and Catalina Natasha in the English dub) is the main protagonist of Catch! Teenieping. Romi is a princess from the Emotions Kingdom who now lives as a regular high schooler in Harmony Town while secretly collecting the Teeniepings. Romi has long pink hair and can often be found wearing the same shade throughout her outfit. It might be tricky to try to recreate her look exactly, but there are certainly ways to get close. For instance, a bright pink sailor suit could work for her season one look. Otherwise, a pink skater skirt with a puff sleeve blouse and light pink bow tie will also be a close match. To recreate her look later in the series, try to find a pink plaid skirt with attached suspenders and swap out the pink bow for a blue one. Either way, complete the look with white and pink knee socks and bright pink mary jane shoes. Lastly, a Teenieping plush can add the finishing touches to your costume if you’re a fan of props.
Queen Tara from Epic
Queen Tara (voiced by Beyoncé) is a character in the CGI animated feature Epic. As the ruler of Moonhaven, Queen Tara was dedicated to her people and protecting the forest. When recreating her look, it’s important to take a little care to layer a few pieces together to get as close to the original movie look as possible. First, you’ll want to choose a skirt with plenty of ruffles. Depending on where you’ll be, a shorter skirt may be more practical than one with a train that looks closer to the original. A petticoat, which is normally worn under a dress, can be a good match. For her intricate top, try layering a bolero shrug under a cold shoulder top with a more asymmetrical look.
Ellie from The Last of Us (HBO)
Ellie Williams (played by Bella Ramsey) is a main character of HBO’s horror series The Last of Us. Ellie is a young teenage girl who appears to be immune to the devastating fungal infection that has turned much of humanity into zombie-like creatures. Ellie ends up leaving the Boston Quarantine Zone with Joel and Theresa after Marlene is injured. Ellie’s costume is relatively simple, with lots of practical layers including jeans, a baseball tee, a hoodie, and a study jacket. She also carries a switchblade, which a prop knife can be used in place of.
