Regina George in Mean Girls (2024)
Regina George is the main antagonist of Mean Girls. As the most popular girl in school, Regina reigns supreme as the leader of the Plastics. She wrote the Burn Book, a journal of snide comments and secrets about fellow classmates. She invites Cady to join the Plastics, and at first she seems nice. Yet she reveals herself as evil and manipulative when she gets back with Aaron Samuels – who she knows Cady was crushing on. This sets the wheels in motion for revenge against Regina. Renee Rapp will portray Regina in the 2024 remake, based on the original movie and Brodway musical of the same name with a Gen Z twist. Renee Rapp previously portrayed Regina on Broadway in 2019.
Angus from The Holdovers
Angus is a character from the new film The Holdovers, and is played by Dominic Sessa. The film follows an instructor, Paul Hunham at a New England prep school as he is tasked to watch the students that are remaining on the campus during Christmas break.
Angus, as well as the other characters, sticks to a pretty neutral color palette in his wardrobe. The textures and colors are very cozy and warm with lots of layers that gives us the feel of the cold season they’re in. Angus wears a brown puffer jacket with bootcut blue jeans, gray/ muted brown socks, and brown ankle boots. Another is a burnt orange wool sweater layered over a blue button down shirt.
Deidara from Naruto
Deidara (voiced in Japanese by Katsuhiko Kawamoto and in English by Roger Craig Smith) is part of the main group of antagonists in the latter half of the Naruto franchise.
He is the youngest member of the Akatsuki, and specializes in clay creations and explosives, in combination. Throughout his involvement with the Akatsuki, he was partnered with Sasori, and later on, Tobi.
Deidara has long, golden hair, worn partially up in a very high ponytail, with the bangs parted heavily over one side, draping all the way down to his chin, over his missing-nin designated slashed Iwagakure headband. His visible eye is a light blue, and the other one is often covered by (in addition to his hair) a long-range scope. He wears the standard Akatsuki cloak, as well as a dark tank-top over a mesh one, elastic cuffed capris in the same shade, white spat wrapped ninja sandals, and a blue-ish teal ring with the kanji ‘sho’. Around his waist he wears pouches filled with clay that he uses with the mouths on his hands and chest, and the look is finished off with black nail polish on his fingers and toes.
Asha from Wish
Asha (voiced by Ariana DeBose) is the main character of the Disney animated feature Wish. Asha is from the kingdom of Rosas. A wish she makes pulls a star from the sky. Asha has long braided hair which she parts to one side and prominent freckles across her nose and cheeks. She wears a purple-themed costume with reddish accents. You can find costume sets for Asha, or you can create your own. If you choose to build your own, you’ll need a patterned skirt and shimmery sheer shirt layered under a dusty purple dress. Knot the dress at your right thigh to reveal the hem of the underskirt. For accessories, you’ll need a beaded necklace you can loop twice, two anklets to wear on your left leg, drop earrings, and a woven belt. Whether you build your own or buy a set, finish the costume with dark purple flats and a star plush that glows.
Paul Hunham from The Holdovers
Paul Hunham is a character from the new film The Holdovers, and is played by Paul Giamatti. The film follows the instructor at a New England prep school as he is tasked to watch the students that are remaining on the campus during Christmas break. He develops an unlikely friendship with a student named Angus.
Paul, as well as the other characters, sticks to a pretty neutral color palette in his wardrobe. The textures and colors are very cozy and warm with lots of layers that gives us the feel of the cold season they’re in. Paul wears a typical professor costume when teaching that consists of a brown corduroy blazer, gray sweater vest, white button down, and red bow tie. Otherwise he dresses more casually with a warm wool gray coat, a gray plaid/ tweed fedora, with a brown button down under the coat.
Morag from The Loud House Movie
Morag (voiced by Michelle Gomez) is the main antagonist of The Loud House Movie. She is the caretaker of Loud Castle where Angus is the groundskeeper when the Loud family visits. She does not appreciate their antics, and becomes even more upset when Lincoln becomes Duke of Loch Loud. Morag wears a blue dress with a white lace neckline, a drab green jacket, fishnets, and burgundy boots. Her hair is brown with grey streaks and worn in a large bun. You can style a ponytail wig and use grey hair mascara to create streaks in it. You can also use a bustle to make your backside appear fuller, as Morag’s does in the movie.
The 15th Doctor
The 15th Doctor is the current iteration of the Doctor in Doctor Who. You may recognize his actor, Ncuti Gatwa, from his role in Sex Education as Eric Effiong. He is the product of the first ever bi-generation, splitting from the 14th Doctor. With bright colors – mainly browns and oranges – the 15th Doctor is all about flamboyant fashion. This is his official outfit, but we’ve already received sneak peeks of his future stylings. We’ve also gotten a look at his new sonic screwdriver!
Siren from Living Dead Dolls
Siren is from the fifth series of Living Dead Dolls, and is named for the mythological creature of the same name. She is one of the first mute storied dolls, the other being Frozen Charlotte, and she was the first doll in the line to have a stitched mouth.
She has long bright pale blonde hair worn back off of her forehead, black sclera eyes with bright yellow centers, purple eyeshadow rimming her eyes, and a stitched shut mouth. Her outfit is similar in style and color to the traditional Maleficent outfit, being elaborate black and purple, with a matching overcoat. Her nailpolish is in the same purple shade.
Jack Black as Bowser in “Peaches”
In the music video for “Peaches”, one of the featured songs from The Super Mario Bros. Movie in which he voices Bowser, Jack Black dresses in a green sequin suit and belts out a tune about his undying love for Princess Peach. He repeats the word “Peaches” about a hundred times, seated at a peach-colored grand piano with a bowl of peaches on top.
Hank Moody from Californication
Hank Moody is the protagonist of the television series Californication, and is played by David Duchovny. Californication follows Hank, a troubled writer from New York who is experiencing writers block, moves to California and gets caught up in different situations from relationships to addiction.
Hank dresses in the way you might expect a writer would, with a slightly 90s style. He wears lots of blazers and blue tones that he makes more casual with a pair of jeans or a t-shirt. To dress like Hank Moody, layer a brown or blue blazer with a blue shirt and a pair of narrow sunglasses.
