Men
Pentagón Jr. from AEW Dark
Nobody knows who is behind the mask of Pentagón Jr. The man is his own legend with a long and storied wrestling career spanning a variety of names, costumes, and even wrestling organizations. From face to heel and back, he’s done it all without once losing his mask.
Naturally, if you’re going to cosplay as Pentagón Jr, you need his mask and face pain. The rest of his costume is as unique as his face paint which means you’ll also have to dabble in some DIY. It’s not easy to find a chest plate like his but the one listed here comes close without breaking the bank. Spray paint it glossy black and then add gold details. Black leggings, black wrestling boots, black wrist wraps, and a gold lame belt complete one of his many looks.
Joe Owens from The Purge
It’s never good when one person is judge and jury. Even worse when they’re the executioner too. But Joe Owens (played by Lee Tergesen) doesn’t see it that way. Not during The Purge.
The Purge isn’t real but Joe Owens still makes for a fearsome cosplay. Black combat boots, black tactical pants, and a black canvas jacket under a black paintball vest are great pieces that can easily transition into other costumes. Even the prop shotgun can be used again and again. His mask, however, is a DIY project all itself. There aren’t any listed pre-made but one can be fashioned using EVA foam.

Luca Paguro is the titular protagonist of the Disney Pixar movie, Luca. In the water, he is a green and blue sea monster who lives with overprotective parents. On the Italian coast, they meet Guilia, a human girl who wants to win the Portorosso cup. Bright and inventive, Luca longs to go to school with her so he can learn about the world. Whenever he gets nervous or fearful, he exclaims “Silenzio Bruno!”

A year later, an anime adaptation was released on Netflix. Known as the “Immortal Dragon,” Tatsu is an infamous, intimidating yakuza boss. He retires from crime to support his career wife, Miku. As a result, he assumes the domestic responsibilities. This leads to comedic scenarios given his formidable appearance and background. The manga also follows his encounters with old yakuza associates and rivals.
The Blissfield Butcher from Freaky
The Blissfield Butcher (played by Vince Vaughn) is the terrifying serial killer behind the supernatural body swap film Freaky. When Barney Garris attempts to murder high school student Millie Kessler with an ancient dagger known as La Dola, he inadvertently trades their personalities and they wake up in one another’s bodies. The Blissfield Butcher’s costuming is simple, but it can be hard to track down a similar mask, since no official merch has been released for the film, yet. You can use a generic-looking oval mask and paint it if you’re feeling especially crafty.

Russia from Hetalia
Ivan Braginsky, also known as Russia, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. While seemingly kind and innocent, he can be cruel. The other countries are intimidated by him, almost to the point of terrified. Although he doesn’t mean to come off this way. Ironically Russia is terrified of Belarus, who stalks him and wants him to marry her. Not to say he doesn’t do any stalking of his own, as he often follows China in a panda suit.
