The Joker from Batman: Killing Joke
The Joker played by Mark Hamill in Batman: Killing Joke gives us a little more insight into Joker’s past. We learn of the atrocities that have taken place and what has caused Joker to become one of the most classic villains in the DC universe. Joker is a great costume for any gender and if you enjoy working with make up this will be a fun one!
Haruko Haruhara from FLCL
Haruko Haruhara is an unpredictable investigator for the Galactic Space Brotherhood. She finds herself on Earth on her quest to find the “Pirate King” Atomsk. Haruko’s appearance and personality vary widely throughout FLCL, but her most iconic outfit makes for an easy ride on her bright yellow Vespa Super Sport and consists of a red vested top, black pants, a scarf, and goggles.
Cassandra from Birds of Prey
Cassandra Cain, played by Ella Jay Basco, is a street smart girl in the city of Gotham. She is an orphan, and despite having foster parents, she can’t say she found a place that feels like home. What she can brag about is her amazing pickpocket skills. When she decides to swipe a jewel, she ends up being held captive by Harley Quinn who needs to get the jewel back. The two bond over their odd connection in Birds of Prey.
Bian My from Watchmen
In HBO’s Watchmen, Bian My (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) is the precocious daughter of Lady Trieu, who strangely suffers nightmares of the Vietnam War including a memory of the Comedian burning down her village. It’s later revealed that Bian is a clone that Lady Trieu created of her own deceased mother.
Angela Anaconda
Angela Anaconda is a very confident American middle class girl, with freckles all over her face, and short auburn hair. She has a rivalry with her faux French classmate Nanette Manoir (whose first name she Angela pronounces as ‘Ninatte’) who once referred to Angela as Angela Ana-Garbage. Angela often calls her “Nanette Manure” and “Ninny-Poo” among other insults. As a result, Nanette tries, usually successfully, to get revenge on Angela. Angela often imagines situations where calamities befall Nanette (and at least once Gordy, who is actually Angela’s friend). Angela Anaconda wears an orange dress and has chestnut hair. She speaks in a high pitched hillbilly accent.
Little Rock from Zombieland 2
In Zombieland Double Tap, Little Rock (played by Abigail Breslin) has grown a lot since the first film. Little Rock feels stifled by her post-apocalyptic “family” and seeks new adventures with a boy named Berkeley and young people her own age. Little Rock’s clothes are edgy, but still practical with tall combat boots and lots of layers.
Ingrid Third from Fillmore!
Keeping the halls of X Middle School in balance, Ingrid Third is a laid back, extremely smart member of the school safety patrol in Fillmore! Her photographic memory comes in handy while solving crimes with her detective partner Fillmore. She says “Crackers” once she grasps major pieces to solving the mysteries of X Middle School. Being a former delinquent, much like Fillmore, Ingrid knows how the minds behind the crimes work.
Meg Murry from A Wrinkle in Time
Meg Murry is a smart girl who tends to keep to herself. After a strange occurrence, Meg magically travels to Camaztoz to find her missing father. Joined by her little brother, Charles Wallace, and an unlikely friend, Calvin, the trio are guided and tested by the mystical beings of Camaztoz. A Wrinkle in Time’s Meg Murry is played by Storm Reid.
Nezuko Kamado from Demon Slayer
Nezuko Kamado is a main character in the hit anime Demon Slayer: Kimestu No Yaiba. She is the younger sister of Tanjiro, and the sole survivor of the demon attack that killed the Kamado family. However, she was turned into a demon. Nezuko travels in a wooden box because demons can’t go out in sunlight. She can shrink herself to fit into the box, as well as grow larger in attack. Nezuko sees all humans as family and vows never to hurt them. She even refuses blood, which is why she wears her bamboo gag, and instead gains her strength through long periods of rest. She loves Tanjiro dearly, as he is the only one who can calm her down.
Molly Gunn from Uptown Girls
Heir to her rock star father, Molly Gunn (Brittany Murphy) lives a rock star life and maintains a child-like enthusiasm in Uptown Girls. Molly is carefree and living the dream until she finds out her late father’s manager stole the fortune her father left her. She secured a job as a nanny for a young, but serious, girl called Ray. Molly sets her mind on getting Ray to lighten up, while Ray provides Molly with lessons she never quite thought of before.
